29 goals for Palmieri and a good season for Varlamov. Considering how much criticism Lou got for signing both players, the deals have worked out pretty good, so maybe Lou does know what he’s doing. Islanders back in the playoffs, so maybe Lou for GM of the year?
Good for the Islanders to clinch a playoff spot. Hope that they eliminate the Penguins if need be on Wednesday

Jack Hughes didn't even play since he's been done for the year after getting season ending surgery a couple weeks ago, so you should replace his name with his brother Luke Hughes at the very least!

In all fairness with lambert there differential was much worse with Roy they weren’t going to start out playing great right away but now they seem to have figured out his system and got hot at the right time 7-0-1 last 8 games

Biggest beneficiary of the loser point. They have been playing great but are going to get exposed in the playoffs. They would've been better off missing out so some real changes with their team could've been made. Now yet again their brass will believe they are better than they are. They might've found their coach though.
Lamentable.. La verdad que es un buen resultado para devils, ya que los tres porteros que tienen actualmente son una 💩💩💩 Necesitan un portero bueno ya, si es que quieren competir por la copa.

They have a solid core to build around with barzal, horvat, Dobson, pulock, pelech, Romanov, and one of the best goalie tandems, Nelson and palmeri might be older but still contribute and have a lot left in the tank. The other players are replaceable. Right now I’ll enjoy the ride but I would like to see this team get a little bit younger this offseason.

Isles benefitted big time from the Devils not even being in contention and the Flyers collapsing. Good on them by making the playoffs by racking up a ton of loser points and OT wins against mediocre teams. That isnt going to fly in their 5 playoff games.
