I was at the game, the crowd was chanting for Fleury after he made that double save and for the rest of the game. But i felt so bad, he quickly skated off the ice and into the locker room before the rest of the team. Vegas still loves him.

But hey, that was 40 years ago, its not like they've recently received 3 first overall draft picks in 5 years, or anything. Maybe just ONE MORE first overall and they can win something? Hopefully that isnt Fluerys last game in the fortress but man he was upset with every goal that got scored .

I remember when the knights traded MAF for practically nothing and how upset the knights fans were and some said they would stop being knights fans but he was essentially traded for Jack Eichel. It was like when the knights traded Max Pac for nothing and they used his cap room on Reilly Smith. Seeing Jack score on MAF is what made me think to write this as they never played with each other.

@@autumnlvr920 I am a sharks fan but all teams have likeable players. In the playoffs I want ex sharks to win the cup. The knights obviously have Hertl who is on that list. The stars have Joe Pavelski. The canes have Brent Burns. The pens have Karl. TB has Duclair. The oilers have Kane. The jets have Brenden Dillon. I would pick one of these teams to win over the others for this reason alone.

@@autumnlvr920 The sharks had a ton of salary cap problems from the last general manager and a full rebuild had to happen. Many of the sharks best prospects did not even play on the team this season. Not bringing them all up to the NHL made it easier for the sharks to get another top 4 pick. Hopefully by the time Logan Couture and Marc Edouard Vlasic are gone the team will be better again.

He has leadership ability and can crack jokes all the time. I want to see him play on the same line as Jack or Stone because I think he could become a point per game player.

From the sharks POV I think Hertl was the first and ONLY player in sharks history to ever guarantee victory and that he scored the game winning goal himself in OT is legendary in itself. Even a knights fan should be impressed with that. From an MAF viewpoint the rest of the knights team let him down constantly and signing Lehner to that extension is what pushed him out the door. Some said that the knights tried to trade lehner but nobody was interested but I have no idea if that was true. It is sad in a way that prime knights MAF was not the goalie when they won the cup. I assume Reaves, Tuch and Max Pac wish they would have still been on the team too. You got to give up something to get something though.

Stone will be back after taking the season off again …..sounds familiar 😅

I remember when they traded a 2nd round pick to get MAF as a rental player and I said how foolish that was because the overall Minn team was not good enough for him to matter.

Because he’s going to retire after this season and he played in Vegas and loved it here so he probably wanted to have his last start in Tmobile arena . It’s not like Minny was contending for a playoff spot or anything . Was a good gesture to let Fleury get the start . And fans here in Vegas loved it. Were chanting his name after 2 big saves he made. We’ll forever love that guy here
