Artemi Panarin fired home his team-leading 26th goal of the season and Igor Shesterkin was solid in net making 24 saves as the New York Rangers snapped a four-game losing streak defeating the Washington Capitals 2-1.

Goalie battle
Rangers had to fight hard for this one to break the losing skid. Seemingly every time you'd think either side would blast one through Lindgren or Shesterkin after the Oshie goal...'GIMME THAT PUCK!!'.
The fact theres so many talented players, the most I've seen since the 80s , and the goalies are performing at such a high level...

@@rickhammond2473 Reactionary take. Strome is a beauty, McMichael is getting better every game, Sandin has a future as the top D-man. Yeah we have old guys but no need to throw it away. The new team is in the works, half of them are playing already. The future is bright, just open your eyes.

Na no way! Igor is a Vezina goalie for a reason too! Chuck held the Rangers to 2 goals in back to back. Hopefully my Rangers don’t have to matchup against this team in the playoffs. Real impressed with the coaching job over there in DC. Physical, stingy D, excellent neutral zone team. If Max and Alex start scoring, Caps will be dangerous.

Washington has a good goalkeeper, but the coach will still put “Mrs. Darcy” in the goal in the next game😁
I like how excited the play by play announcer gets about goalie saves, even the away teams 😂

MSG in NYC especially loves goaltenders! Lundqvist, Richter, Igor and yes even away goalies. I like how the NY team identifies all the opposing players - both guys are true pros!

Not a chance lmao. Average shooting% is 10% almost every year; Boeser 23% Joshua 23% Hoglander 22% Lafferty 22% Miller 21% Petterson 18% It is going to be absolutely hilarious when they get to the playoffs and can't score at all though.

Where's the NYR's flair team of a month or so gone? Strange how top international super-stars of the game can seem to lose any confidence or self belief after a few ropey performances & most of the squad n' all at the same time. Lucky Igor hasn't fallen prey to this team case of the Jip's or things would be ugly. Surely the Ranger's organization must have team psychologist's on the coaching side for times like this? Hopefully this win might be the 1st sign of a positive streak ahead!!

This fanbase is such whiny Snowflakes. Jeez! Play an 82 game season and see how you feel each game. These two games were real intense and physical. The Chytil injury is finally catching up - Bonino is old and can only fill in on the 3rd Line for so long. Charlie Lindgren was fantastic both games! And the Power Play has been tops all season - they didn’t score so the game was tighter than usual.

@@olimario3250 Own my team? I'm a Karens fan. NY Karens win many games on many years but they never win the cup. As a matter of fact Karens haven't owned anything since 94. 🤣The point is not to JUST win another meaningless game, but to win playing well especially against an inferior opponent. Because when you play the good teams in the playoffs the NY Karens will be eliminated AGAIN and left without a cup AGAIN. And the Karens have been lackluster for a while now. In their last 10 they are 4-5-1.
