It's funny because the NHL said the next day that they wouldn't be looking at the hit because it was a perfectly legal hit and that Backes shouldn't have been ejected from the game in the first place. But keep your bias' in place, it's all good ;)

They work for the “New England sports network” not a national sports channel, they can be biased if they want, most people that watch it are Boston fans anyway so going around saying they are biased is unfair and just a stupid point to make.

I'm a Flyers fan so my opinion on anything will probably get shit on. But I feel like Flyers announcers mostly just over hype players on our team that don't deserve it. They're always on Macdonald's dick, and I know that a huge portion of the Flyers fans want him to get the hell out of Philly. All announcers are probably a bit biased, as you stated above. When you're watching your favorite team, it makes sense that the commentary might be leaning in the direction of the team that the announcers represent. What bothers me about the Boston announcers is they seem to try and justify things that are just not okay. And yeah, again... Flyers fan. I know the reputation we get, but I don't see very often that the announcers are like "Gudas chopped someone in the back of the neck, why did *insert Penguins player* (joke) put his neck out there to get chopped?"

Amen. As a Flyers and Detroit fan as well, I'm not a guy who watches hockey for fights (probably because I played hockey when I was younger... quite poorly I should add) but that was a good old scrum. One of my favorite games of the season actually. I actually kind of dig the Flames. No Tkachuck though. Kid plays pretty damn well, but fuckin' hell is he annoying. I get that's a part of his mode. But he makes me spit my beer and want to fight my TV. Tkachuk fans will love that he makes me aggro, HAHA.

icosododecahedron Yeah, Tkachuk really is something else, haha. One of those that if he’s not on your team, you despise. A super-pest. Flames are pretty promising, have a ton of talent on there, they just have to get cohesive/mature. {Gaudreau, Monahan, Tkachuk, Bennett, Hamilton, Brodie} Time will tell.

It was stupid that's given. It was like all his bad hits retaliatory. The issue isn't with him coming to the defence of his teammates it's that there's a better way to go about it. There are a lot worse guys than Kadri however.

I'm a Sens fan and every time I see that clip of burrows kneeing hall I hate him more and more.

I still laugh at the wings flames fight 😂 so many dumb mistakes by the wings at the end of that game, especially by Luke. Personally as a wings fan I'm glad he is gone. Yes we need an enforcer type player, but also one who can score or set up plays.

At some point there's an understanding of " if I do this I'm going to seriously injure a guy" and he had plenty of time to not make the hit, OR he could have hip checked, would have been way less dangerous.

The only good thing to come out of Boston is The Dropkick Murphys.
