    Dallas radio also said glen wesley....for boston, doing research it was game 4 of the 1988 stanley cup finals...the fog game...since they didnt finish it i guess the stats didnt count, as game 4 was replayed back in edmonton, and oilers got the sweep 4-0....but in the 2nd period he achieved this feat, at 19 yrs old, surprised no one else has brought it up. Just google the game logs of 88 finals, its right there, he was born oct 68 and did it in may of 88. Fog ultimately caused the power to go out.

    People may or may not remember, Val Nachushkin was a first round draft pick by the Dallas Stars. It was a very controversial pic, he had a record of getting into trouble as a young player in Russia but the Stars took a chance on him. I remember it was obvious he had a wealth of talent but for some reason, I believe in his second season with the Stars, he suddenly disappeared back to Russia. Dallas released him and Colorado picked him up. It has sucked, as a Dallas fan, watching Val reach the expectations we had for him but doing it with the Avs. However, this is the downside that comes with that player. He disappears for ""sudden family situations" one year, disappears for failed drug test another. It's sad, but trouble seems to follow this incredibly talented player.

  • @crazyralph6386

    @crazyralph6386

    Yep, that “family situation” last year against the Kraken was him getting busted with a coked up prostitute, who needed a trip to the hospital. Could you imagine the frame of mind one must have to be paid $9M per season, only to screw over your team in the playoffs back-to-back??? He’s done in the NHL.

    That's completely inaccurate and omits a lot of details. He was a controversial pick in that his contract with KHL could only be voided if he signed on to play for the NHL team that drafted him. Nill was kinda forced to bring him on and he was essentially gifted the top-line spot with Seguin and Benn. In 2014-15, he played 8 games and had hip surgery that kept him out for most of the season. He'd return in 2015-16 and score 9 goals and 20 assists, and it's from 2016-2018 that he'd be out and head to KHL (while being unsatisfied about being sent down to Austin, if I'm not wrong) and make a return to the Stars in 2018-19 and score no goals and 10 assists in 57 games. It was only then that management realized that he wasn't going to work out in Dallas and that's when he was released. You'd think that winning a cup and turning his career around in Colorado would've helped him mentally, but clearly he had major issues.
