    Pulling a goalie without CLEAR possession is absurd, it’s essentially free candy for your opponent. You need to be in full control of the puck before risking your net being wide open. Get yourself set up and relatively “stable” first

    This comment and its reply are hilarious. The Oilers indeed had the puck with 4 guys entering the zone lol. Then they lost the puck and as the Oilers turned they went to the bench. Its crazy how it literally was right infront of our eyes but people just dont see it

    @@GdF420 it can work (depending on the team) and I’ve seen them pulled as early as 5 minutes left…though only in “life or death” situations where there’s nothing left to lose But it really is a case by case (or team by team) basis

    Dude sportsnet puts in crappy clips just to get their videos over 10 minutes. Even a game like this where they could've showed it in under 6 minutes; they won't. Because youtube monetizes you on a different platform for videos over 10 minutes. Even if you beg them they won't make a 9:59 video. I'm currently working on a solution ;)

    Like I've said all along, shut down Micdavid and the Oilers are done. The Stars are the best road team in the league so I don't think Edmonton is going to win as easy as their fans think. Also, Ottinger is twice the goalie and that will be the difference in the series.

    Watch the empty net goal. It looks like two Oilers didnt even try to get between the shooter and the net to stop the shot. It actually looks like number 2 moved out of the way to give him a clear shot.

    I'm lucky enough to have a satellite dish that will enable me to watch Canadian television even though I live in Dallas. It's unfortunate American fans have to watch on either TNT or ESPN. God they suck! Even though the TSN announcers are pulling for the Canadian team, they are still far less biased than the American networks.

Also, Gretzky was on an Oilers superteam with multiple elite players and HOF members. McDavid would've won several cups too with a team like that.     We are officially back in the Dead Puck Era. This game was straight out of the late 1990s: no flow, passes off the mark, scoring opportunities squandered, etc. The first four games of the conference finals have been absolute garbage from an entertainment standpoint. If the NHL wants to keep adding teams this is the watered-down product we're going to get.

    They were playing on crap ice. The puck was bouncing like a rubber ball. This series will look completely different on Hard ice, even call's, last change and the Oilers crowd.

    Dallas started off so-so, and then just overwhelmed, overcame - and crushed, conquered. The Oilers were in some kind of stupor. If they don’t snap out of it, things will go bad. Dallas has tasted blood.

    Nurse, and Kulak are huge liabilities. Adjust this for next year, and they could be winners for a long time. I used to think that Oiler fans were somewhat educated, however most of them continue to felate Nurse, who's game mistakes have been glaring now, for 3 years😮. Useless

    Eh as a former goalie that’s when you’re most likely to let one in. I loved 50 shot games I’d be so locked in and playing out of my mind. Worst is when you only see less than 20 and always the first 5 of the game when you’re finding the games rhythm

    Full credit to Dallas for withstanding the first period storm and cranking up the blocked shots. Greasy second goal. Can't hate on that. That said pulling the goalie like that was disastrous! Bouchard looked like he didn't even know Stu was gone! We got a split on their home ice, which is really the best we can expect against a team like Dallas. Hoping for 2 solid games on home ice, full 60 min effort each.

    Dallas is built for playoff hockey. That's a rare label nowadays. Only other team that's similar is Florida in being built for playoff hockey and it'll be surprising if they don't meet Dallas in the finals.

    Decided to use all their offense in the 1st period and just gave up. No real chances and just struggled to make anything happen. Not gonna win the series playing like that, that’s for sure.

    He’s still an above average goal scorer and playmaker. He’s playing a top-4 team in the NHL he’s not gonna be filling the net. McDavid isn’t even doing that lol

    Stars have "a little less for a lot more" pledge that the players signed before the season started. Robo doesn't have to be to be relied upon so heavily anymore. Hes also been a bit unlucky this season, but hes still looked very good. Stars roll 4 lines about equally in ice time.

    Because the Stars have way more depth than the Oilers. They had a better season, beat them pretty badly 2 out 3 times this year. Stars beat last years champs VGK after going 2 games to none. Then beat the champs from 2 years ago in 6 games. While the Oilers barely got past Vancouver.
