I think you should make your own list with the top 20 ratings for each category and then compare them when the next lists come out. Could be interesting to see the contrast.

Kirill not having a Gold ability is absolutely WILD! No pun intended! This guy have Elite Edge work! EA definitely needs to tweak some of these ratings somewhere in october

Ehlers should be top 20, I understand why he isn’t he only played half the season but still put up 40+ points for like 40 something games

Rangers really missing buch... really surprised still seeing Kane up here... Meier,Hyman, Bratt, or even Kyro. LW look fine.

Brady Tkachuk 100% deserves to be on this list. Last year he only had 3 points less than Keller, was over a point per game and brings all the intangibles as well. He was 5th in league scoring among left wingers (as per the NHL website). He and Stützle on a line are going to be magic

The sky is the limit with him. I wouldn’t be surprised if he becomes a perennial 90 point player, maybe even hits 100 at his peak. I don’t think he has quite as good hockey IQ as Matthew but he’s going to be good for a long time. The best is yet to come

Solid 93 is fair. Wouldn’t be surprised if he is 94 by the end of the year though, depends on his defence and if he can get back to 21-22 scoring and stay healthy 👍🏻

Caufield is pushing 88 was on pace for like 50 goals on one of the worst teams in the league then got injured imagine playing with someone like mcdavid

The thing is, they’re overall ratings, and ea treats them as “the better player has to have a higher rating” which is just stupid, if an 82 overall has the best stat in something in real life it should translate to the game, or like if there’s an extremely good Offensive forward ea will overrate tf outta them for that and they’ll pad all their other stats just to get the overall up, it’s so fucking stupid

Lol obviously gaudreu is a heavy hitter. Puts up more then 20 hits each season. Bone crusher. These stats are prob so these smaller palyers cant get knocked off so easily. I think thats something to look into with the physical psrt of the game... i saw a comment for defnesive awarness not being metnioned but maybe to make defensive awarness have all attribuites in it from a 1-10 scale of players hitting,strength, ect.... Offensive awarness also makes him aware of taking hits, ability to take a hit, ect.... Last year i didnt recognize rhis but maybe a rework of the attribuites and simlify it... even if it goes into decimals... i mean hockey is the game of inches....

Alex Tuch is still an under rated player. He should be a higher overall than Eichel for example and I don’t think Alex Debrincat deserves to be over him even though I like Debrincat. Tuch is just too complete.

Rantanen might be just slightly too high. 92 would be ideal.

Can someone inform me, how come some players like Ryan Ellis's rating is downgraded to 70, I understand it's to do with year long injuries but players will never recover from this shit rating.

Robertson and Kaprisov definitely above Panarin. Brady Tkachuk bump down a few spots. Rantenen might pass Kucherov. Based on these stats Mcdavid should be around 98 and Mackinnon around 96. Especially if Pastranak is a 95.

Kane anywhere in the top 10 is painful. He’s not the guy he was 10 years ago and the bias is too real. Idk that you can be a top 10 guy if you don’t have a contract going into a season

Why is 94 deserved? Just asking because that's nearly McDavids rating. Yes he's great. Power foward but he barley cracks 100 points. JT Miller had 99 points as a kind of 2 way foward and now no one says he's a even 89 or higher.

Here's the thing. He's a 94. Probably around the likes of Mackinnon, McDavid, Drai and Mathews which isn't acceptable. Sure he's has back to back 100 point seasons but even then. So has Drai with 126 and 110 points. 86 points in 56 as well. And don't say he's carried by McDavid. Firstly. He won the Hart and art ross along with other individual trophies. And I can say tkatuck is putting up these numbers cus the team around him as well. Calgary last year was one of the best teams. Probably a top 5. This year he played with the team that made the cup final. So no. There are much much better players then tkatuk with lower or the same rating as him. 92 overall

McDavid should be MINIMUM 5 or 6 overall rating points clear of any player in the NHL. They hand out 90+ ratings like candy.
