Ben I’ve learned a lot from you about things to look for in coins before submitting them for grading, as well as general information and unboxing videos. When you show close up shots and explain why you consider certain coins suitable for grading or not has been really helpful to me. I try and watch most of your videos and I’m impressed with the graded results you often get. I know you’d like for all your submissions to be what you want, but hang in there my man your subscribers are still with ya. The bottom line is that I appreciate all you do to keep me enjoying collecting. 👊🏽
That 1883 o looks like a Florida toned coin. I live in south Florida and come across Morgan's like that from old collections. Found a bunch like that at pawn shop one time and bought all of them for a huge discount compared to the bright white ones.
I love these kind of videos because they are the type of coins a normal dude, without a huge budget, would submit. Great educational video thanks!
Hitting em with the Rounders reference. Right on the mark.
I really enjoy your look and talk about grading videos. Make up all the coin terminology you like, I knew exactly what said “sunset toning.” Thanks for sharing your knowledge with us.
Great video! Very informative and I always learn something watching your videos. Thanks for sharing!
Nice group. I finally sent a few to PCGS, the wait is on…
Thats a stunning peace dollar. Honestly I wouldn't even need the holder to say a straight grade to find that one desirable.
You got lucky with that 1950 Franklin. 62 at best with all those marks.
Nice set of grade coins thanks for sharing
That's a strange variety of grades on the dollars.I really can't figure out what most graders are thinking at this point. Thanks for sharing those!
I love the toning on the 81S! Even that back, I like the way the dark blues are starting to surround devices. I don't actively seek out toned coins but if I'm looking for a certain coin and I come across a tone version of the date I'm looking for I'll certainly pick it up.
I dont know alot about coin grading over all, however, I do know much about Morgan and Peace grading, I buy every week. You got a bad wrap on that sweet Peace dollar.
Beautiful Peace Dollar, such a bummer on that one, but still a beautiful coin! Definitely has "the look"
Amazing collection 🤝
"A dark brown or bluish hue often comes from chemical toning." I am not saying it was actually artificially toned, the brown was noticable to me, that brown hue was why they put Artificial Toning on there.
Thank you for sharing
A little part of me dies when you call a Cent a Penny.
Hi, Ben. Maybe the FBL designation on Franklins means the tiny eagle on the reverse has Full Beak and Lips. That 51S is sweet. I like the 23 Peace Dollar's colors. I question the graders. *TYU*
Toning is allways a plus for me( must be natural ).
ABSOLUTELY Stunning piece's 🤓👍
Great Video
The 1923 Peace being labeled “artificial toning” is simply absurd . That is unquestionably an originally toned coin , and I would personally seek out a Peace with toning like that .. .
OOOH to bad that 1950 franklin wasnt a proof that be crazy. solid submission. that 1879 i would have though that contact mark would have came back damaged and i would have over looked even sending that in. keep up the great videos. pan show comeing to pa you should consider stopping down.
Overall I would be happy. The franklin's are really nice. The book stored Morgan's have some nice tones , I prefer bright white but would never pass on a mint state Morgan.
Wow someone from NGC needs to explain that Peace.
Another example of why I would never consider getting a coin graded.
As always thank you, very enjoyable video. You mentioned that some would have recommended that you should have " dipped that coin", how does one dip a coin?.
Better to make jokes about the experience than get too mad. Nobody cares when you are mad. Another video with great coins
Nice bunch of coins. Sorry for your Peace Dollar. But then again, for us viewers, there’s always the chance to crack it out and see what PCGS says about it.
Just wondering whether you have ever requested the reverse of a Morgan to be displayed on the front of the holder? I have a 1921 Morgan with an impressive looking series of die cracks along the top half rim of the reverse that otherwise has few marks or wear.
I'm being honest on that 79s Morgan which I believe to be absolutely stunning and without that Mark would be perfect for my collection, but I feel you got lucky on that one to not getting that net graded down by two points
I’ve noticed you use NGC in all the videos I’ve seen. Do you just have a preference towards NGC or is there another reason why you use them over PCGS. I personally like there holders better they have a cleaner look in my opinion. Thanks love your channel.
Peace dollar looks like real Toning to me
Is the green on the Obverse of the last Peace Dollar with Artificial Toning the issue of how they know it's cleaned? I'm sure it looks different in hand but that's what I have been learning lately about the color patters - sometimes they make sense - but specific albums do specific toning patterns I suppose :) Stay Safe buddy :)
love the Franklin's, kind of disappointing on the peace dollar...but hey i am far from professional grader...lol
Can't make a purchase from the new site- it keeps kicking me back to sign up after I did!
I think someone was too lazy to change MS64 to MS65.
Amazes me they are professional graders and cant put the right grade on a coin.
