Damn NFS The Run And Black Rock's Split/Second had the Best Soundtracks Believe me. We all had childhood of Carnage Racings like Split/Second and NFS Games Those were the Best If only Split/Second had a Sequel i'd bet The Run would too

@@ATomatoIsAFruit Granted, it has it's faults, as well as being short, but there's nothing quite like it. The handling model I think fits with the long windy roads, as well as the sense of speed and danger. It's at least better than what NFS games came after

@@MariusUrucu it was unique in presentation but basically shot itself in the foot before even launching by showing trailers with repeat footage of its only couple of actual action setpieces, for one thing. The whole premise could've worked incredibly well with story branching of the kind where your performance on each stage - falling behind of target overtakes or being well clear of that - would affect the progression, in addition to routes throughout America offering its own flavour of replayability. None of that has happened. I don't know what people praise of its story, which is not just incredibly barebones but makes even less sense when being dissected. Handling itself was okay at speed, unsatisfying below 80kmh, and impact/collision physics were unpredictable or just weird. One of the strongest rubberbanding examples out of the NFS series, and that's saying something. A poor PC port riddled with problems beyond just the 30fps cap, which is minor by comparison. *Advertising quick time events!* Even compared to the next game in the series, Most Wanted 2012 - derided for being Burnout Paradise 2, is still much more replayable and satisfying if you get into it properly. The only selling points of The Run are the action sequences - and Split/Second does a better job with those as well. That being said, even if it seems like I'm coming across as overly negative towards The Run, the truth is I also acknowledge what it does well - it's why sometimes I still play it, there's something I enjoy in it despite the short campaign and everything else. The reason I feel so strongly is because NFS is yet another of my beloved game franchises that I feel have lost their way for years.

So I owned need for speed: the run at some point in time sometime ago but I don’t think I have a game in my possession so I don’t know where it went, I don’t remember why I don’t have it anymore, but I did at least have it at one point in time. Split second is a game that I still own and in my opinion of any racing game I played in my time and I’ve only played a couple, it’s probably one of the best interactive racing games meaning what you can set off on other people to throw them off, changing the roots, etc., and also had one of the best styles of drifting in any racing game I ever played. Not only does this track from split second which I do remember, work well on this track especially in this game, even though I don’t think I ever played this track in that game, the reason the music from that game works so well on this track in this game is because you have two forms of suspense that you’re dealing with, the icy Road which the car has to control it’s speed and it’s drifting on, and the boulders falling down, so with those two variables put into this track, I think this song does very well on this track for this video.

Now THIS run is worthy of the Split/Second soundtrack. I would even say if a sequel exists in some parallel universe, this is what a snow track would function like.

This soundtrack is most underrated! Also, Burnout: Need For Speed will be released somewhat in year 2024. Heavy Heat should be added to Burning Route.

Even if we disregard the fact that we have zero meaningful information on the upcoming game's, well, gameplay, they cannot use Split Second's soundtrack.

It’s an attempt at using a dynamic song. The context is Split/Second uses a more intense version of the song the further the race progresses. I was able to spot this set. Cars and Chaos Heavy Heat ??? 3rd place finish
