Dude there was a special feeling i felt in the 5th grade when i got this game. I would stare at the clock the whole day waiting for 2:45 to run to my buss and wait a shitty 15 minute ride home and the run from my buss stop to my house into the living room and put my hands on the controller. And then, to hear that PS2 sound. The feeling is better than love and indescribable. I've never felt the same way since. Nothing gives me that joy like those days did. It's kind of sad.

I still remember JV's intro, expecting him to do some fancy drifting to get on my side, and then realising the race was going to start with we facing each other, and thinking that was extremely badass.

JV's Entrance is the best. That drag race of his is very difficult there's a lot of cars coming out of nowhere and that VIPER is super fast and looks badass.

Really appreciate how they made these cars look their paint jobs are on point for every one of them

Now this is a game that deserves a proper remaster. Give me some nice high quality textures, lighting and more dynamic weather (day/night cycles) and I'll throw my money at you EA.

It was the most easiest, since in the other long races, I always worried about making a mistake at the end causing the opponent to surpass me and win, basically wasting the entire 5-6 mins -_- Drag race is the best, easiest and shortest

Whoever designed JV's Viper Kudos, since it looks like a legitimate GT2 car (livery included)

Man I really wish the Criterion would bring something similar to the Blacklist in the next NFS. This dark dingy world running rampant by street racing. There should be boss races with similar entrances because they're so good at setting up the tone of what you're up against and what their character is like. Baron is a show off and hence tries to make cool moves to intimidate us whereas someone like Webster rolls on shit ton of power which is borderline uncontrollable. Blackbox Era NFS games are forever goated imo
