The marsh primarily consists of towering arboreal specimens with thick and contorted trunks. These trees form an intricate canopy overhead, effectively blocking out most natural light. The leaves, darkly verdant and glossy, create a carpet of foliage over the stagnant waters below. The swamp's waters are shallow and murky, possessing an eerie inky quality. Beneath the surface, concealed undercurrents and treacherous mud beds add an element of danger to every step. Surprisingly, the swamp lacks visible avian fauna, yet the air resounds with the persistent symphony of chirping birds, creating an unsettling auditory dissonance.
