So when metal was “dying”, a black rapper released a metal masterpiece, that album was awesome
I saw that Cop Killer tour at the legendary L'Amour in Brooklyn, NY! It was Body Count, Exodus, DRI & Pro-Pain. Crazy/sick show/lineup! \m/

Testament was in there at some point I’m almost positive
T is gold, no ego, glad Robb just listened.
“I’m drinking milk eating a peanut butter and jelly sandwich. That’s metal” -Ice-T When he said that shit, I almost fuckin died laughing. Huge Body Count fan since I first heard There Goes The Neighborhood on Arsenio Hall
I never heard of Body Count before my tattoo artist mentioned them. Man, did we have a blast in the studio. It literally changed my personal views, Ice-T has such a great way of making a point, and I found myself having to readjust many of my views and arguments. Absolute legend!
Robb - this is the best and most engaging episode so far. I could have easily watched another 4 hours of this just due to the richness of the stories and how you engaged Ice T. I thought the Monty one and the one with the John Joseph couldn’t be topped. But godamn this one is awesome.
Great content. Ice-T and Body Count are dope.
I’m 52 and a Metal head but my group didn’t really listen to the early rap. Damn I missed out on some good jams
I love Ice-T's take on soul. Best definition i've heard yet.
What a perfect way to start off a Friday morning 🌞!!!! 🤘🤘😁
New jack hustler is another hard track. The collab with ice t n cube trespass was a huge inspiration for me Robb

@Cadillac Kadafi yes it was. Wasn't it made in 1990. Ice t was also a part of the analog brothers, with kool keith.
Ice T has his peanut-butter and jelly sandwiches cut into triangles. That's hardcore
I love how ROBB is fan boying out while interviewing the o.g.gangsta ICE T you can tell ROBBis a huge fan of ICE T, I love the fact that ROBB loves all music...ICE T is amazing I've been a fan since 88...great interview ROBB...
One of the most instantly recognized voices on the planet! Says never thought I could sing! T is so awesome!
If you're a metalhead that doesn't respect the hell outta Ice-T after this video (honestly BEFORE this video), go ahead and turn in your metal card.

Im 37 years old now ..My 45 year old brother had all the Ice T cds ..I use to listen to them back in the early 90s..Always been a fan of Ice T.. Once had a dream i was at a baseball game sitting with Ice T chillin in the stands..
I was into rap before getting into rock. I didn't know what metal was until they said on the rock station. It was a whole new world for me to explore when I was younger. I found myself loving heavier stuff more. I still like all different types of music though.
Cold have easily been 3 more hours longer What an episode!!!Totally Killer🤘🏿🤘💪🏿💪🏻
This interview was f’kn awesome! Your intro hit me deep because I grew up in the same area. I lived near the projects. I’ve lived IN the projects! Spent a lot of my life seeing things I only found out later weren’t “normal”. I learned as an adult that not everyone had to struggle through life. For me it’s all I know. But I wouldn’t change a thing. When you were talking about the influence IceT had on you and early MACHINEHEAD.... I totally get it! Except that’s what YOU guys did for me. I was 16/17 years old when I discovered MACHINEHEAD. I was going through one of the darkest times in my life. So much anger and aggression inside towards the world that didn’t understand me. I didn’t know how to deal with these intense feelings! I had no desire to live or die. I had found myself NUMB. Both physically and mentally. But MACHINEHEAD, BURN MY EYES.... It was through your voice ROBB that I finally started to FEEL again. GOOSEBUMPS, even to this day! Your music resonates through my entire being. It’s a feeling that can’t be put into words. But if you know, then YOU KNOW! I have truly found sanity through your dark and aggressive sound. I find my peace in your music. It feels like HOME. And BME will forever be etched into my soul. ~THORNFLOWER 🥀🖤
Wow this made me inspired, Ice-T sure went through a lot growing up.
This was fucking incredible! It wasn’t an interview, it was a history lesson! Good shit, Robb and Ice!
ICE T is da OG of Og's. Legendary
Another awesome interview! Ice T has some really truthful advice on life man. People who have been through something, find something in who they are that can change them for the better.
And somehow, I saw the entire thing. Great interview.
Unbelievable interview man. Like most have said, this could have gone on another few hours. ice and his stories about growing up were pretty amazing to hear, especially his pre-rap rhymes he spit. Those were wild to hear. Awesome content man.
Hell ya!! That's what I'm screamn'! Ice T in the house...been listening to him since the late 80's. Rob is right...huge influence.
Saw BodyCount several times in the 90’s in The Netherlands......and when play that song Copkiller we get nuts.....love that rap stuff from Public Enemy, Cube & Beasty Boys..... Always remember Machine Head at the Dynamo Festival in Eindhoven!🤘👏
Damn! That was a great vid. Could listen to Ice talk all day 🤘
You can tell ice t music before bc was so metal for hip hop indeed
Great interview. Colors is an all-time hip-hop classic.
"NO Regerts" (making old joke). Much love to Big Ice

Awesome stories and plenty of older & wiser knowledge in this piece. Killer interview.
That's probably the BEST intro music to any podcast, EVER!
Ice T Always does the best interviews Dope podcast
I luv how Ice-T can still recite all of his rhymes with no problem.
Daaaaaamn Rob, this is what KZread needed, a metal fucking podcast!!! Where can I find the rest of them? Cheers from Mexico, keep up the good work, loved this episode!!!
Aaaand... another excellent one.
Body Count Rules! Ice T Rules! Robb Rules! M.F.H Rules🤘🤘🏿
That's what makes it dope. Indeed.
Btw, another favorite of mine is EARTH CRISIS, that track you did on breed the killers was steel. Interview karl beuchner
This - was - soooo dope.
First couple times I hear something from Mr. T ICE T that was in the extremely early 80s my opinion not so good at rap. But at mid 80s ICE T became one of my favs with some bomb tracks and he went on to do more in music than most can dream of ever doing the movies TV geez ICE T has been absolutely Brilliant at marketing himself into being a dude that seems to be somewhere for what 40 years now
Whoua two of my fav singers 😍
Great video❤🔥
Is that the Download festival in the background? Very good listen, cheers!
I respect ice t he's awesome and I respect his story and that he was in the military that's amazing
ice t ahah this guy is dope what a dude, god bless brother
Besides old Biohazard and RATM and very Early Stuck MOJO, Body Count rap metal that actually is awesome
Sweet... Ice t!!!
Wondering how Mr. Ice feels about Phil. Big fan of both, and seeing him on this show reminded me of all that. Peace and salute. Same here btw, grew up on metal, hip hop and punk. Was psyched first time I heard there goes the neighborhood. At that PT the best music became fusions of punk more of less. The early 90s were the truth musically. Freedom of speech with jellos samples rules
Jewels for days here
The fast Ice-T tracks such as @ 18:17 were the precursor to the unique Britcore sound in the late 1980s/early 1990s, which is also very fast, hard, dark, and noisy. In fact, check out Hijack (e.g. Doomsday of Rap) on Ice-T’s label, which then had inspired British hardcore hiphop bands, such as Killa Instinct (e.g. Escapism EP) and Gunshot (e.g. Patriot Games).
🤘🤘awesome!
That was The Exorcist theme, not Halloween, Robb.
Fucking dope!! Need Body Count / MH / King 810 on tour
Two fucking legends... Love it

Body Count is so underrated.
Amazing episode this one. Ice T has so many fucking cool stories to tell. And I like a lot of his rap. Rap nowadays sucks but gangster rap had a lot of great aggression and some brilliant tunes.

blahzay I think you are young and yet to learn a lot about living in the adult world, where you have to learn to face opinions which are different from your own with a modicum of intelligence and respect. Hopefully you change from the diapers to the big boy pants needed to live in the adult, mature and intelligent world sometime. Where one articulates statements based on logic and intellectual value rather than hormonal imbalance and impulsiveness. Hope you learned some new words for your vocabulary so you can at least be considered for college in future.

I always loved this guy. He is right on point with “car accident” and for me they made the metal album of this year. Maybe I’m old school, but I say if you want metal in 2020, you gotta listen to a rapper. Cause Kreator ain’t dropping this year I guess and Slayer is out of the picture. Congrats Rob for the podcasts, I hope you Burn my Eyes next time. Peace.
He said they produced Black Sabbath like he was proud of it. Does he not realize that the metal community as a whole hates that album because of the production?
