I feel we ALL saw this coming! The pod w/ he & LeBron seemed so random to appear during the season....Especially while all the "fire Darvin Ham" headlines/blog posts were happening.
Sam Cassell should got the HC job. JJ shouldn't got the job on the cool.

Facts. Lakers didn't even honor Jerry West (RIP) who BUILT that franchise, three times. Once as a player and twice as a GM. Man's got a statue, but wasn't on their top players of all-time list. All due to hurt feelings from the Buss family. Shameful

I don’t think Sam cassell wanted to be in the lakers situation. It comes with a lot of scrutiny. Sam’s already winning in the Celtics and has a better team to stay on. They just won the chip and can win again.

I think lebron wanted jj more than Sam. He definitely doesn’t have experience but lebron can step in. At least it’s better than darvin. He was terrible and this is still an improvement. Darvin had experience as an asst. coach and was ass.
JJ is replacing Darwin Ham. A guy who not only was mediocre af in the league, but he didn’t last that long. He got in the coaching doors for being a good teammate on some good teams but the basketball contribution was always miniscule. At least JJ was a starter for years. He was at one point in his career the leader of a heavily scrutinized high profile org. I ain’t saying there aren’t better candidates but considering who he’s replacing I don’t see the outrage.
