    Phil Hartman was such a talent, he is truly missed. I'd say he was one of the 5 best actors ever on SNL. Dana Carvey too.

    Farley was funny but was limited on roles he could play.. Hartman could be cast for any role.. I don’t think there ever was or ever will be a cast as good as it was with when Hartman was there.. They were the all stars

    Whether it was "you make the call" or another thing they did on tv, "Alcoa" was the sponsor of one of those for years 😊 Good memories. I'm hearing John Facenda's voice (and I apologize if that was on MNF, might have been)

    Phil Hartman was funny as hell and the crowd wasn't into it at all. Back in the days before studio-padded laughter I suppose. Make no mistake, the audience's response isn't about being offended by the cringy dialogue on a taboo subject, no-no, they're not into it because they were pissed that Jimmy got fired. Nice cameo by Carl Weathers; must've been plugging "Action Jackson" that week.

    Is it me or are they misrepresenting Jimmy “The Greek”’s original comments? What was so outrageous about his comments? This skit was high quality, refined racism at its finest.

    They were controversial because there's no actual truth to them. There is no scientific evidence that black athletes "benefitted" from the slave trade in any way.
