They should add a story mode where you start as a rookie, and when you gain experience and coach trust (depending on if you played good/bad) you get the chance to pick the play for yourself

I love when i’m an away team and I quiet the crowd on 3rd down WITH a TD.

I’d love it if they added the ability to return punts and kicks and to play as a receiver or defensive player later on at some point.

i had a fumble that the other team recovered and was able to chase the guy down and tackle him. So i imagine this is definitely something that can be added eventually.

in multiplayer when we plays 2v2s or something, i LOCK the WR up. So that would be awesome if they added Defense

One of the sickest features I noticed is when you play as the steelers at home they play renegade at the start of the 4th quarter. Great touch as a Steeler fan!

Kudos to Oculus/Quest/Meta whatever for releasing this awesome title but I cannot help but think how much better this would look on the Reverb G2! Wish it was available for SteamVR so I could try it!

Like all In the Metaverse the graphics really suck. It’s 2001 PS2 graphics

not the first game to make a football vr but this definitely looks great, hope they can improve the core game mechanics and then move to the graphics

A great start, reminds me of when madden first came out with all square players, then each year it got better and better. Hopefully they can get it going.

I think it would be super cool to be able to move your hands up or down to either hype up or quiet down the home crowd like in real life.

To best enjoy the game turn of all Assistance in the game and play on the hardest level. Make sure you remain looking at where you want to throw and not just with your eyes but out through the center of the headset and the person your throwing too is highlighted. Also when throwing and you have 2 recievers that are crossing eachother sometimes it throws to the wrong reciever so if you can throw to a reciever that is in more space it is less likely to confuse the game. Once you ve completed a full season change your team your playing as so you can begin your next season. Also if you dont want to kick on the 4th down quickly press timeout and you can run a play rather than kick.

I got quest 2on launch..had some fun and havnt touched it in years..this is what i was waiting for..sure this is more like a beta of what will happen in a couple of years..but its off to a great start

I notice a lot of comments claiming this is just a prettier version of other games already on Quest 2. Except you fail to mention, those others are only listed as single player!!!

Hey I totally agree with you about this game being the best VR football experience. In my opinion however if they can fix a few specs and give us more control over other players like say a RB when he gets the ball in the backfield we should be able to control where he runs. so on for the wideouts and let’s say one of the best defensive linemen!! i know this is the first step for the developers and the killed it !!! Maybe they will fixed some bugs and give us a more “real life experience” like have the players on the sidelines move around and sit on the bench instead of running through the walls lol … it’s 2023 they can do it and the technology is there!!! Great Game !!!

great game, would love to be able to become the player receiving the ball, ie control of the running back after he takes the handoff, receiver after catching a pass because I did notice the offensive players don’t run the best routes after getting the ball. great job guys keep it up!

Looked a bit dark in there for the headset sensors to work properly

I am also doing a review on this game and one of my personal problems that I have with this game is you can only be the QB!!! Ugh after playing 2MD for so long, I got use to the camera switching to the ball carrier. So it gets kind of boring just standing there watching. Especially since when I actually played football, I was a WR. Never wanted to be a QB, I always thought it was boring. However, I take what I can get and you are 100% right this is definitely a step in the right direction, just some things as you pointed out would be awesome plus being able to control whoever has the ball. I also noticed that after playing 2MD for so long, it was so wierd being able to actually see the recievers. lmao It actually got easier for me as the QB being able to know where the dude is actually at.

or atleast have a realistic mode where you actually need to read a field and properly release a ball to do good. It seems like he just highlights a reciever and opens his hand instead of doing a real release, idk if its already a thing but it would be cool

It would be awesome if you could play as a linebacker or safety on defense. Hopefully, that's the next step. Yeah, I've always dreamed of a first-person NFL game. I just wonder how good is the throw detection? Is it something that you can master like darts or is it eratic? In VR, I've always had trouble throwing grenades reliably and I've always wondered if it was a limitation of the VR motion tracking.

Right now, the throwing mechanic seems like a lockon system that can only be interrupted by blocking NPCs or RNG fumbles. It’s a start.

Worst is looking directly at intended recuever..but locked into someone else and makes for wtf passes

The whole “look at which receiver to throw to” mechanic just doesn’t work. Plenty of times iv had 2-3 wr in the same area and I can’t “lock on” to the person I’m actually trying to throw it to. Definitely takes away the feeling of throwing a dime

So how would WR's work? run down do ya pattern whilst looking at back at QB , i cant see that working somehow.

I got two complaints that are pretty game breaking. Sometimes I throw the football but it drills straight into the ground and then it thinks I still have the ball. My other complaint is the Audibles don’t work whatsoever. It’s 3rd and 24 and it’s making me run some run plays but if I change it, nothing happens all the time.

Wow I get to stand on the sideline! That is realistic!

Finally, after 53 years and 5 strokes, I get to be a quarterback!!!
