Psychologically, Andrew Luck congratulating the guys who hit him serves to enforce that he’s a kind, good guy. Therefore, he’s less likely to be hit as hard in future by those he is paying a compliment to.

While you are probably technically correct, I doubt that was Luck's motivation. I think he was genuinely enjoying himself on the field.

Luck 1000% is just that guy but it honestly never helped him. The Colts so terribly mismanaged his career and left him with a wet paper bag of an offensive line to such a degree that he was pretty severely injured twice, constantly in pain, and was starting to develop a little ptsd so he retired way too young. It’s a damn shame. There are teams out there right now that need to do better by their QBs. Bengals being one of them but to be fair they’ve been trying. Injuries and a couple draft busts/under developed players standing in their way. The Colts just ignored the problem.

It's useful to be a likeable guy in the nfl. Guys will still hit you, but they'll at least apologize afterward
There isn't anything I love more to see than athletes showing respect to one another regardless of team. It shows maturity, and that is something we need more of from athletes these days.

Drama is fun, but sportsmanship is infinitely more satisfying and enjoyable to watch.
As a man who's watched football in England all my life I've been use to seeing players get tapped and go down like they've been shot. To see these guys nearly knock each other out and get up, tap hands and say all good, is absolutely awesome. Total new respect for the sport 🙌

That right there is why so many Americans have no respect for soccer, the players always flopping on the ground until the card is pulled then jump up and run, proving it wasn’t serious to start with. The only awards we feel soccer players deserve are Oscars, and Americans no longer watch the Oscars…..

That's because Football (soccer) is full of little baby bitches who have no sportsmanship and rely on getting other guys in trouble to get the upper hand. They could never survive American football. I'd say American sports but NBA is just as bad as soccer.

Man I was just thinking that while watching. Andrew Luck is 1 of those players where you know he's really good when he was playing, but after he retired and you see vids like this you realize the man is a legend.
I could watch these clips all day. I enjoy this so much better than watching a bunch of violent knock out hits. This is what sportsmanship, and a brotherhood looks like.
Somehow, it makes me sad to see AB in this, but not because he did not deserve… This guy had so much potential on and off the field, I still can‘t unterstand why he threw it all away:( Whatever, I love the respect and positive energy from those guys! I hope we get to see more tapes like this. Greetings from Germany❤

I miss watching Luck play. Both in College and Pro. The sport needs more like him.
Good sportsmanship is something I always admire.
What excellent examples of showing that you can still cheer on someone else for doing their best and not think that it takes away from your best! I love that they put kindness and compassion over the need to win and ego! Keep this up!
My newest "favorite" video. This is awesome. I love hearing the mutual respect between gladiators, warriors. Deals being made between forces on the battlefield. The "generals" discussing terms. I LOVE it!!!!!
I like people being nice to each other.
Joe Thomas is one of the coolest, most chilled-out players you’ll ever meet.
"I like those glasses, you're gonna see everything today" Correct me if I'm wrong but I believe there were less than 5 penalties called in that game lmao
"Love the glasses! You're gonna see everything today!" That was as passive-aggressive as it gets.
Don't have to be everyone's friend but respect is respect I'm always down for sportsmanship
I love this. They're all just guys out there trying to have fun, make a living, and entertain.
I understand why alot of them don't show "great sportsmanship", but it's always refreshing when they do. It's a hard game to be able to keep your cool in.
These are the best, always good for a smile
Ok that was awesome. Thank you for sharing this!

I bet Josh Allen was a hyper active kid.
“I’m gonna try not to fangirl” might be my favorite statement from a player ever. I hate to say it was adorable but it was adorable.
Seeing my Steelers on here so many times brings a huge smile to my mug.
Cute how they admire each other, sportsmen right there.
Myles is always funny on the field.
Love great sportsmanship
If Andrew Luck was on the Death Star when Luke Skywalker hit the exhaust port, his last words would have been like, "Oh, good shot, bro!" *BOOM*

I loved this one!
Tavon austin clip so real 😭
As a Colts fan, every time I see Andrew Luck in one of these compilations, it makes me want to find Ryan Grigson and make sure he's not holding a position in a NFL front office ever again.
Great Video!
Love it bro
Mean Joe and Butkis watching this: blood squirting from eyes.
Andrew Luck has got to be one of the kindest humans that has ever stepped onto a field haha. No one like him. Also, anyone else hear Deshaun Watson say he and Patty Mahomes should hang in the offseason... someone should check on those Kansas City massage parlors lol
I dont think Luck can actually get hurt or feel pain. Who TF else will compliment someone that nails him like that. LOL true animal
Yes! More this, less drama.
How badass is it to see to opponents come together in prayer
Made me laugh! Thanks
Stuff like this is why EVERYONE in the NFL felt it when Andrew Luck was forced to retire. He was such a good dude, but that injury bug got him and never let go.

Andrew luck was a genius he would complement everybody so they wouldn’t want to hit him to hard lol

Reminds me of a story I heard about Mean Joe Greene. His teammates always hoped someone would cut him or hold him at the beginning of the game and get him mad, 'cause he was almost unblockable when he got riled up. Then one game, the O-lineman he was lined up against would just chat with him between plays, call him "Mr. Greene", ask about his family, just talk chill and friendly. Joe made plays that game but wasn't his usual dominant self. Smart strategy.
Seeing some of the hits Andrew Luck was taking and comparing them to the QB hits that drew flags recently, man...how the times have changed.
I love how Andrew Luck had his own montage.
Never would've thought AB and O'Dell would pray over each other but there's a first for everything
Stupid Colts could never protect Luck very well he’s complimenting everybody in the damn league🤣
Play this before high school practices. Attitude is everything
I remember in high school ( I was a receiver), I caught a quick pass and all I heard was someone saying “sorry bro”. I turned to run and was hit hard by him.
i love these lol. maybe if we showed more of these on the news instead of dead kids, the world might be different.
The Raheem Mostert Damien Williams thing melted my heart
This was a cool video.

Man. I missed Andrew. Not colts fan but I watched colts games cuz of him then he retired and haven’t watch colts games since unless they play against my team.
Aye shout out to Andrew Luck lmao
Man I miss Andrew Luck. So do the Colts.
Bufflo number 12 did his best version of NCIS Gibbs slap😂
I can't deny that IMHO, a little competitive trash talk is fun and an essential part of many sports. That being said, there is something about good sportsmanship that makes any game that much more fun to watch.
andrew luck complimenting d-linemen getting hits on him and then retiring early due to injuries is so sad but so funny
Totally cool. Love seeing mutual respect.
Even tho this is a year old and I'm a 49er fan. I do enjoy the sportsmanship
Beckham started out with the NYGs with so much potential….
Thanks for this. Thought I was the only one who did this in HS football. Real recognizes real.
