Personally I think once the quarterback runs past the line of scrimmage should be treated as any other runner... this bit of sliding and running out of bounds is sad in this brutal game... maybe the quarterback should just play with a flag the defense has to grab... while I'm at it what's wrong with a blind side block? What they supposed to do just let them go?...or say hi first?....LOL

@@avsrock1561 the way they use the slide def leaves them vulnerable. I want to see the slide back how it use to be with the QB giving himself up yards before the defender. Yep, the defender knows GOOD AND WEEL the qb is going outta bounds so I think that’s a dirty play to make and should result in a penalty, fine, and possible ejection, that’s what happened to Sam Bradford when he tore his ACL the first time back in 2013 against Carolina, he was CLEARLY running outta bounds but the defender hit him and the defender got away with it scot-free, given how they’re trying to protect QBs nowadays I can see them adding a rule against hitting players that are running outta bounds🤷‍♂️🤷‍♂️🤷‍♂️

@@Kinney972 not either way. The announcer is completely right. And his foot wasn’t out. Again, slow it down. Watch close. Pause if you have to. But it’s really not that close.
