Did you watch more than 5 seconds of the clip? They literally acknowledged it during replay before disqualification. But as they also commented on, the coach was pushing him off of stepping on a Chiefs player. He was literally stepping on a player already on the ground. Coach was more moving him off. As they also acknowledged, that shouldn't be done either, regardless. But the purposeful shove from a player is ridiculous

Honestly the NFL should do things more like a hockey game. Let these guys go until somebody hits the ground or a helmet comes off, then punish both players. First infraction you're inelligible until the next change of posession. Second strike, rest of the quarter, third strike ejection. In the fourth quarter fighting is an automatic ejection.

I would say the ref got it wrong in the first incident. At 2:27 Harrison is getting up after making the tackle and is stepping(right foot, over Chiefs player) towards the field. Chiefs #52 comes in and STOPS Harrison in his movement with a small push(Because: "get away from my teammate") That makes it IMPOSSIBLE(due to loss of balance) for Harrison to complete his step/movement and he has to get his balance back - and his foot touches the Chiefs player on the ground. Harrison even looks down to avoid stepping on player, but he is out of balance.... That is a textbook example of why NOT just come rushing to help your teammates get up. Because you prevent the players to get out of downed players way..... The refs got this wrong, though I can understand why!

With this chief's game how is it after showing it multiple times that no one in the booth saw what happened. The Cleveland player was not stepping on anyone he was trying to get disentangled and then he was assaulted by a chief's coach. Turns out that referees had it right but the broadcasters kept harping on it until the league intervened.

Number 25 bringing his knees up, 52's subtle bump, and then the coach's push. Everyone can hear the way the announcers called this, even with video evidence showing Harrison's step was unintentional. This is a fine example of why JURY TRIALS are never a good idea! Pathetic!

I kind of feel bad for the Jagaurs/Texans game. They get the Ref that sounds like he came in drunk.

Ronnie Harrison. Poor guy got the shaft on this one. Players get tangled up. Harrison trying to get untangled, a guy from the other team bumps him off balance. Harrison stumbles a bit and accidentally steps on the guy he's trying to get untangled from. Coach from the other team shoves him, Harrison shoves back and then gets vilified. It was all just incidental stuff from a sideline play until the coach gets involved physically. Then no-one sets the record straight about the Chiefs being the instigators in what started as a dumb misunderstanding.

Harrison looked like he was trying to get out of there and 52 was in his way mid step. He should have tried harder but I think 52 pushed him into it.

Cleveland's Harrison was trying to step over Chiefs player, his foot didn't make it over the raised knee due to another Chief player purposely impeding him from getting over. He couldn't go forward any further so he got stuck in that position. Chiefs coach then pushes him from the side causing Harrison to react by pushing him on his chest. Coach got lucky he didn't get punched. Coach should've pushed his own player out of Harrison's way

I wish the play that led up to the heated moment/fight was included in these videos, for the context.

He got bumped back into the other player causing his foot to fall on the ball carriers stomach. But it’s funny how the announcers/commentators purposely looked over what happened to him first. Also it was a push, not a punch man. The announcers have idiotic behavior towards Harrison let’s be honest.

The coach pushed #33 first. Then #33 pushed the coach. Did the officials see the coach push #33?

No one saw the chiefs player push Harrison which cause him to shift his balance thus the step, and no one saw the coach make contact with a player. Poor guy got the short end of the stick.

2:30 It looked like to me he was pushed back onto the player when he was trying to throw his leg around. He was being pushed in two directions; one by a coach and one by a player (both on kc)
