That 1st one had to be so heartbreaking for the offense. They essentially performed a miracle only for their kicker to miss the extra point. I know he got the silent treatment for weeks.

It's actually way worse than that. The kicker hadn't missed an extra point in more than two seasons and was statistically the most accurate kicker in the league. And if they kick the extra point they get to play OT - important because this is the last game of the season and if they win it, they go to the playoffs. Instead they missed the extra point and that was the end of their season. OOF.

Yeah he is a beast even tho the second catch he made in this highlight reel they overturned and called it a no catch bc of possession but I watched i live and it was def. One of the coolest plays I have ever seen

Don't forget the Falcons' curse lived on the following season when they botched another 20+ point lead to the Cowboys. What an awesome game that was for the Dallas Cowboys and their fans. A true miracle/blessing.

It was actually an extra point. They scored a touchdown right before that, on that play where they did all that lateraling. The last guy that got the ball crossed the goal line with the ball in his hand. That’s why their score increased by 6 points right after the play. You must have missed it.
