Omg. I was in that audience. And had my first round of the entire tournament with this guy. He was crazy insane -- kept track of everyone and who they went against and when. BUT also the nicest and funniest person I've ever seen. So memorable that I came into KZread just to see if I could find a video of this. What a great memory.

Definitely one of my all time favorites. This guy is a genius with his comedic timing.

Probably my favorite HI I've ever watched! And I've watched the best (Ruthless, Ant Farm, The Witches, etc.).

This is seriously one of the greatest HI's of all time.

I was taken to this tournament as a middle school-er by my future high school to spectate, and after seeing this piece performed, I was changed for good. This performance literally blew me away and I still haven't recovered.

I love this piece but today at a tourney i had to sit through this kid literally copy every bit of this version down to the cutting and intro, i was so pissed

I wonder how he managed to cut in the "spartacus the gladiator" bit, I've seen the original play, and there's no Spartacus. Maybe clever cutting, or one of his 100 "transitionary" words? Hmmm, makes me wonder...

And there's a reason why it's overdone - people are trying to replicate its success... Natalie was the original and by far the BEST.

@7x6h2 It's overdone - but Natalie Sinek ran STRAIGHT 1's with it in Finals at Nats... It's said to be the best HI EVER. I've never seen it, but when you run straight 1's in a Final Round, you become a legend...

@orlmgc4ever I believe you have just made a groxx understatement. She did not go straight 1's in the Final round. She went straight 1's through the entire tournement. Meaning she got nothing, but 1's, the lowest you can get.

@mopeded No way! That can't be true! I demand to see a results packet! haha... okay, I just looked all over the internet and all I can find is straight 1's in Finals. i'm pretty sure someone would have said SOMETHING if she had run straight 1's in prelims and EVERY outround as well.

@chief5566 Wish I could tell you I have it, but I don't. I have still yet to see it, and would gladly pay in order to get my hands on the tape. It IS on tape too because I'm pretty sure it was at the 2004 Nationals.
