For us old Niners fans who witnessed GB effectively end our dynasty in the 90s beating us 13 out of 14 games between 1995-2010 this was a very satisfying decade knocking them out of the playoffs 3 times.

No team in league history ever came back from a 17 point deficit, let alone 23 points, in a playoff game - until Colin Kaepernick led the 49ers back against the Falcons in the 2012 NFC Championship (fantastic game: kzread.info/dash/bejne/e4J2ppafqdDbXaw.html). But that's the come-back record now. A 23 point deficit.... It's possible, but never done before. Rogers and the Pack closed the gap to 14 at one point, but that's as close as they got. 9ers had it all in this game: offense, defense and special teams. The fact that they fizzled in the SB just means they'll be more determined this coming season. If there's going to be a 2020 season. :-0

@@ryu-ken were just as good rn, our defense was still top 5 with injuries last year could be a top 3 defense. Our offense has definitely improved and Trey Lance can be our franchise qb, our run game is way better with trey sermon and now a mobile QB. And our O-Line is stacked

I hope you're doing this to Rodgers and/or the Packers someday soon, Trey. This game was a blueprint on how to beat the Packers that sadly very few times have tried to follow since (Tampa Bay, Minnesota, and New Orleans beat the Packers pretty easily playing just like this).

On the two point conversion to take the lead, they decided having Huntley roll out to the near side and throwing into double coverage was better than running it somehow, and the Ravens lost by 1. Huntley dropped back to throw 41 times and ran another 13, which meant they called a total of 13 plays for the running backs and 54 for the unproven rookie quarterback. In short, they ignored what I said and lost, although it still took the refs intervening for Green Bay to win that game.

This game and Jan 12, 2013 were the 2 funnest games to watch against the Packers and Oct 8, 2023 vs the Cowboys. Just blowouts against my top 2 hated teams. (I will never forget The Catch #2 (Young to T.O.) against GB.)

Such a great game. Was an honor and privilege to be in attendance. Go Niners

And what makes that team so special the 2019 San Francisco 49ers had one of the toughest divisions in football now there are games where we just dominated but games like the saints they fought for every interest in that game so they said it best when they said football is a game of interest and you can say the same thing about life

I've noticed that the 49ers are like Mike Tyson - they try to kill you early before they run out of steam later. This game will be tough in GB. cold. night. But, GB will have rust from the long bye. 9ers will need to put them away early and hope that Rogers can't catch up later!

Green Bay ran into a buzzsaw. As a 34 year old man, this was the greatest 49ers team i've ever seen. There were no holes on the squad, and they were beating teams down. I remember they had that three game stretch during the late part of season that was the most difficult three game stretch in NFL history where they were playing three 10 win teams in a row, and they won 2 of them and damn near swept it, but they lost to Baltimore by a game winning field goal. They had three loses by like a combined 10 points where they lost each game on the final possession. They damn near went undefeated that season, and were even beating down the Chiefs in the super bowl and then they blew that 10 point lead. This team was an absolute juggernaut and its criminal they don't have a trophy.

Raheem Mostert vs the Green Bay Packers, unreal. Can't way for this playoff rematch. Hopefully Elijah Mitchell can find this kind of success

Down 17 and driving to cut the lead on a good drive then a bad snap exchange leads to a fumble. This was the writing on the wall and confidence killer for the a defense.

I'm a 49ers fan and I'm really happy that Mostert.. done very well in this game and his story is very inspiring about him getting caught by five teams I believe and never giving up.... and I'm really happy that Kyle Shanahan and John Lynch gave him the opportunity but now he is requesting a trade due to a contract dispute...... I do appreciate what Mostert Zedge for this team and I hope that they can reach agreement and I do understand his concerns but also I understand the 49ers front office concerns as well this is his first really productive season and if you want the big contract you must play on a high-level assistance performance during seasons and we have seen so many players that came out of nowhere and had a wonderful season and then they turn out to be big flops when sometimes they are offered a new contract to a different team and a great example of this is Peyton Willis I believe it was the name... he came out of nowhere and he was a fullback for the Cleveland Browns and he was traded to The Browns by the Denver Broncos and had a remarkable season so much so that he was in the front cover Madden and then after that he is was never the same again and truly was I want to hit wonder but worst case scenario if he does leave the San Francisco 49ers don't be surprised if Green Bay picks Mostert

If that's true then even though I love the 49ers this is the only time where there's a huge Silver Lining because this was bigger than football itself it's about human lives but hopefully it'll get done soon then we could go back to it watching or Sports in are 49ers play every week

Although I loved how the 49er's took complete control on both sides of the ball this game might have had some effect on Jimmy G., now I think he is a very good QB and this being his first real whole season playing I am sure he has worked on things like better foot work, but as a media question mark all season and then playing no real part in leading the team to victory this game then to spend the next two weeks of the super bowl hype media crush defending his playing had to have him questioning things. It might have been a better choice once we got into the mid third quarter to showcase Jimmy G. throwing ability it would have built up his confidence and quite his critic's. no matter we still will win this years bowl

I think the Week 14 game against a super hot Drew Brees/Michael Thomas duo and the 10-2 Saints in New Orleans - a tough back and forth road game - disproved ANY notion that JimmyG can't lead the team in a passing attack. That sensational game with 4 continuous quarters of superb, unrelenting passing attacks made the statement. I don't think Jimmy ever felt he had to "defend" his playing or made him question himself after this Packers game. Nobody could seriously question that after the Saints game.

@@rhmayer1 Don't misunderstand me, I see Jimmy G. as our longtime quarterback, he can read a defense has a ultra quick release and since hes playing time has been limited there is no question he will only get better, so what I'm saying is ya, the guy is very confident in his playing ability but he is also very competitive and as the Q.B. he needed to be more productive in leading the teem, it comes down to, traded to S.F., becomes a instant hit, big contract, gets hurt and has to sit out the rest of season, returns and shows he is a very good Q.B. all while working out a new system, on field playing mistakes, to his credit he learns by the mistakes but it just take's time. Now throw in two playoff games that did nothing to stroke his competitive drive, what was it, 6 / 8 passes the whole game, there is not a Q.B. in the NFL that even through it's on to the Super Bowl, wouldn't be disappointed.

As it turns out your suspicions were correct, Jimmy and our team got exposed and now he likely won’t even be our quarterback anymore. How quickly things change.
