I was wondering what Big Sean had to do with this song. He took the flow from Bounce Back and he mentioned Big Sean’s album. I get it now lol

I'm not sure if this is accurate, but in my opinion, this song is a whole conversation between himself and Pride. I broke down the lyrics in a way that I think conveys this a little more clearly and adds some depth to the song...whether that was his intent on this song or not, i'm not sure but i think it's interesting: NF to Pride: Yeah, what's your definition of success? Dont get me wrong, I love some of the others for their personalities; but bro, you are hilarious, you seem like a super legit dude, you break down the lyrics better than anyone else, and not only do you actually break down the cinematography, but you break it down WELL. You missed few points; "Too many faces", he said that at the beginning of the song as well and not just at the end. It refers to his crowd anxiety like he said in "The Search" "I get scared when I walk on the stage and see so many faces" Penny-wise isn't just any clown. It's his fear, he said he can't decide if he should kill penny-wise, and knowing NF, we've seen how he's been dealing with this all long. Specially in his song "Intro 3”. The machete, I personally like to think it's from his song "Real" which he used to cut off the ladder on other rappers. All in all a great review as always. I'm so glad I found your channel man. I don’t mind the pausing at all because I know that you’re going to say something intelligent and riveting. This is just me: I think he feels guilty because he's wealthy because in a ways it might get to his head thinking he's profiting off of negative and traumatic things in his past even though music has always been his outlet and not a means to get rich. Even so those thoughts will come to his mind and try and make him feel guilty like "you're profiting off your mom's death.... Your a monster" even though that's not his attitude

Another great breakdown once again! So sad to see the train reach the station, though. You got me intrigued about this Lupe train you'll start. I heard about him, heard a few songs here and there but that's about it. Let's see where it takes us 😁 As to why Nate asks himself "Why?" every other sentence, from my experience, I'd say he's showing us he's going through therapy. As a part of CBT (that's supposed to work well with both depression and anxiety), the client says a general thing, then uses the question "Why?" repeatedly in order to get to the core of the issue. Hope that helps in your understanding, Ernest.
