Just ordered mine in matte black with clear visor.
thanks Pat for this review and explanations... it´s always interesting to see how people explain our Helmets it gives a good feedback on priorities of features.. !
I have used X.WED2 and Shoei GT Air 2 for the last three seasons. X.Wed2 being the favorite. Bought the X.WED3 Pro Carbon two months ago...new favorite. This is excellent! The brilliant GT Air 2 hasn´t left the shelf since. Two small details...the chin went could be more effective. I miss a visor position 0,5-1 cm above closed for city riding.
Just placed my order!
Excellent look at the helmet Pat! This looks like a great helmet Nexx. It's made the list.
The main difference between both versions: The carbon helmets come with impact foam all around, an aditional 80% tinted screen and a better pinlock.
Nice lid. McQ is a solid reviewer.

Hey thanks! -Pat
Nice to see the mannequin talking and doing product presentations well 👍
Have an Xwed2 and been mostly impressed with it. Noise, comfort, fit and features for the money are all bang on. Mine I don't know if it's a manufacturing issue or they are all like it but the RH plastic piece that holds the visor (and or peak) keeps breaking every time you touch it. Gone through multiple spare packs of them and they break so easily on the RH side but not left. On the left it fits in like a bayonet fitting real nice and positive feeling fitting. But the RH fitting feels like it's gonna break.and then does. The piece that goes into helmet is maybe 30 degrees different in angle to the LH fitting so maybe was just put together wrong. Aside that still a good helmet. Included pinlock (fits tight and no gaps) is essential for UK riding.
Nice job Pat! That visor looks pricey!
Good review , they remove the peak attached with plastic part on the slide plates ...agreed that was made cheap and I bought 4 extra since there easy to break .
Can you guys do a compare test along with noise test?
@RevZilla

We mention noise levels from our testing in our reviews, however we won't be doing comparisons. Noise levels in helmets have more to do with your bike's aero, your riding position, the rider's arm lengths, torso length etc etc and isn't something we can replicate in anyway for our viewers. That's why most helmet brands won't claim anything when it comes to noise levels, since nearly all of the variables are unique to the rider / bike. We recommend ear plugs to make any helmet the most quiet helmet out there if that is your goal. Hopefully that helps explain it a bit for you.

@@RevZilla Watching it right now, thanks guys. :)
What about the weight? Isn't it too heavy?
@RevZilla

It is definitely on the heavier side but is well balanced. If all the other features / accessories are better suited for your riding, the weight is manageable. Its all about give and take, lightweight isn’t always the end all be all best feature for some
This or a Ruroc Eox? Decisions, decisdions

The answer is never Ruroc, do some googling
Where does this brand fall when compared to Shoei and Arai with build quality? I love my RF-1200, but would prefer something better for off-road riding and wearing goggles.
