Another great option from nextool is their Flagship pro model. Can be found for $35 on amazon and worth every cent. Full sized locking blade, full sized locking saw, spring loaded pliers, and full sized spring loaded scissors. Along with other tools of course. Worth taking a look at in my opinion.

Good to know. After seeing how good the Sailor Pro is I may have to pick that up!

One tool implement I really like on the Gerber Suspension and NXT is the bottle/can opener combo. I gave the two to a couple of my best friends who happen to be brothers. I didn't know this was made to resemble the Strata. Now that you tell us that, it really resembles one! Like one of the gentleman below said, I'm a Leatherman snob too. I'm glad to see someone is copying Gerber now too. I'm not taking it so hard these companies are just copying Leatherman, haha! On the flip side, its nice to see that people have an option to buy a well equipped multitool at an affordable price if they're can't afford one or don't want to spend the money.

I agree it is nice to see affordable options for those who would never buy a Surge or a Wave. I see the Multiforce etc. to Leatherman like Kia once was to GM and Ford. Legacy brands must never get complacent.

With the siccors. I'd more to do with how much pressure they have against each other. And the sharpness obviously. But remember back in the day when you have a junk pair of siccors and you had to hold it just right for it to cut. Basically forcing the nlades against each other. Well these type of siccor blades are slightly bent in toward each other. Which helps a ton. For some reason not everyone does this

At first I was a total 👎 no. But as I watched I became more interested. But I am a Leatherman snob. So, who knows. Thanks for the video.

I'm with you. As I was skeptical as well, but I really like the locking implements and the tool feels well made for China origins.

now that the patent for the latherman wave has come out i'm just waiting for ganzo to make a multi tool

I am puzzled as to why these multitool companies include bottle opener instead of can opener. Bottles are mostly twist open thesedays and even if they're not, they're very easy to open with spoon and even a rock. Whereas cans are difficult to open without a can opener. Yes you can open with knife but it's messy and dangerous. And people still carry tuna cans and canned pet foods when camping/fishing.

I agree. Can openner is the better choice than a bottle openner. I like the black knight variant they have beacause its got large scissors and some screw bits, but no can openner. Almost almost the perfect one for me.

Personally I get annoyed that people get annoyed about bottle openers. I mean is it really that different from any other tool that you see on every multi tool? It’s like saying “ugh I’m so annoyed that every multi tool comes with file. Most stuff doesn’t need to be filed so why bother” who cares? It’s just another tool you can utilize if you want to that comes standard like everything else. Get over it

​@@chrisvanek7877 I have nothing against bottle openers but I bought this knife and I miss a can opener. I will always be able to open my beer, but opening a can without an opener is a pain. And since they take up the same space, I prefer a can opener. It will be a reason to switch to another tool as my EDC.

Hi. Does the blade lock on this one? I'm guessing it does. 99% of all multitool blades do lock unfortunately so, 2/3 of the world's pop. cant carry it lol. Still, at least the LM Bond gives us something 😊 Nice to see outside Opening Tools too (Leatherman come on!!) Thanks for the vid 👍🏽

Yes it does. Some of the best multitools that don't lock will be the old multitools from Gerber, Leatherman and of course many Swiss tools which you may have. The leatherman PST I and the PSTII plus the Leatherman mini are pretty good tools. The leatherman bond is a great modern interpretation of those original tools.

The awl is so long because it has a bottle opener built in. You keep failing to mention the secondary tools

Yes all the tools lock.
