    You can chew if that's what works for you. There's no rule that says you can't chew. Am a full blooded Nigerian and i chew my pounded yam, semovita, Amala, wheat fufu, Eba etc. All these food are known as swallow

    You can also chew the fufu because it’s a swallow doesn’t mean you have to swallow it you can also chew it before swallowing.

    The reason you don't chew is because the fufu might over shadow the soups taste, you can light chew and swallow fine.

    You guys made the entire scene silly by smelling the fufu and others! Why do people have to put food to their noses, so close to smelling them?? That is disgusting for any culture!!
