I can totally relate to this...we are two sisters and we don't have brother...today also if we meet our relatives they look at us with sad face and say to our parents 'arey ek beta hota toh kitna acha hota' in front of us...but we don't care now and ingnore them!!!

We are two brothers and we don't have any sister. But we wished that if we had one it would be great. Since, we didn't have any sister we've learned many things that are categorised and expected not to be done by a boy such as Cooking, Cleaning, Laundry etc. My mother supported the cause that it is essential to learn these things and there is nothing wrong with that. This helped me lot because I've been in hostel for 10 Years straight from the age of 10 and my younger brother too spent a great deal of time in hostel. And I think it's good not be dependent on someone when you can learn to do it yourself. It gives us strong sense of individuality and power to stand alone.

My grandmother has 4 children ,my father is the second child of her and in compare to her other sons my father earns a little less and so he has always been treated badly but my mother and father had never complained about that. When me and my twin sister were born because we were girl so the whole family was disappointed but my mother and specially my father were very happy because they had always wanted a girl child .But day by day they started behaving badly with my mom and dad and finally seperated from the family. At first my mom and father had to face many problems because they both had to go to jobs but finally my father moved to new house and now we have grown up and we live here. Inspite of such difficulties they don't even make me and my sister realise they had faced so much problem in the past. I just came to about this previous year when I was in class 9. My father and mother had always told me that me and my sister are no less a son and We have promised them that after establishing ourselves in a good position we will show them what a daughter can do.
