Here’s all my thoughts and theories… My personal opinion is that the era will be orange. Since this album is supposed the final part of the dema lore, I think they are gonna mix the styles of tench and blrryface therefore making it orange mixing the yellow and red era! I also think Joshes hair was dyed red to then fade into orange by the time the new stuff comes out!

This is what I want too! I think that Josh’s hair may be red to signify Blurryface and then Tyler’s shaved head to signify Trench, therefore mixing the two into an orange album to finalize the Dema storyline. This would be sick!

I want something with heavy bass. I need more trench type vibes, but I don’t expect a copy. I wanna cry, scream with Tyler, air drum my heart out. I want something to compete for Trench’s place as number 1 album of all time. I want to gasp at Tyler’s genius. I want to shake my head in wonder. I want to start planning my next vacation and take PTO at work around their next tour. 😂 Okay, I’ve said enough and revealed myself to be a tad bit obsessive. Oh, and on the color scheme….I really don’t know what I want. My favorite is always green but we had some of that during the Trench season. Surprise me!

100% agree with everything you said - that heavier sound, the need to be emotionally destroyed and we need that cryptic build up! Especially considering this is their last chance to play around with the DEMA storyline. Tbh, I'm surprised nothing has come to light yet. Something has to happen soon! Oh how I wish I could go back and relive the Trench build up and the drop of Jumpsuit, something similar would be so cool!

Dude. This album boutta hit so hard. I personally want a bit of all eras. From ST to RAB to Vessel to Blurryface to Trench to SAI and new stuff. I want it all in one. I want nostalgia. I also want more screaming and rock (such as Jumpsuit, HDS and Never Take It). Also some more chill rap stuff (like Redecorate and No Chances). I sincerely hope the Pop Song Professor's theory (pre-SAI) comes true in this era. He predicted a Jesus-like figure would be instrumental in taking DEMA and the Bishops down. Of course, I don't want it too religious (and I doubt Tyler would do so), but in the words of Clear, "cleverly masking [the] words" to keep the religious imagery subtle like he's done in the past. If this is the end of the DEMA storyline, I hope there's an unambiguous happy ending compared to the last few albums. And sonically, I'm hoping for more of a return to form to their roots, blending electronic elements with rock elements. Finally, I'm Team Purple Album all the way!

Agreed! I'm really curious to see how this plays out. It has been hinted that the Torch Bearer will be significant to the end of the storyline, and it seems as though he will be somewhat of a savior/messiah figure.

I'd really like something heavier in the music... In theory, this album is going to be dark and obscure and stuff like that, so I NEED the music to reflect that... Something like Jumpsuit or Car Radio's version of MTV Completely Plugged.

I really hope we get another cryptic release! I'm sure I'm not alone being a fairly new clikkie, and most people who joined the fandom after the SAI era are probably wanting to be a part of the hunt real time instead of reading Reddit threads 5 years later.

Kind of like how in End Game they revisited the past, I hope they revisit their old old stuff in some way. Maybe have some songs that have similar beats to their old songs but it’s produced by the bishops as a way of mocking him.

I think we all want a good cry. And I’ve been on team orange and purple since the end of the SAI story and I’m sticking with it. Depends on where the story goes what the color scheme will be, though. I’m soooooo excited and ready for the ride!

Well done as always. I definitely want more bass and heavier overall feel than SAI. Afterall, this is supposed to be a battle. I would be really intrigued, though, if there were a few lighter/poppy songs on there, as if the album itself has a battle going on between the two sides: DEMA attempting to hold on to their propaganda and control vs the banditos battling hard to free those inside. Another thought: Tyler has made it clear that all will be wrapped up tight with a bow, including correcting things we have gotten wrong in the lore and clearing up questions. I don't see how a battle, a conclusion, and the answers to all of our questions could be wrapped up in less than 14-15 songs. Unless of course, there is more rap (words per minute). PS: We need a hair specialist in the Clique to let us know how easy it would be to dye Josh's head from bright red to purple. This red hair at the Super Bowl thing is too obvious - they're messing with us!

I'm glad to see I'm not the only one who wants a deeper, darker, and more emotionnal album than SAI was. But if one thing this album though us, is that our boys are unpredictable. I'm pretty sure it'll be more like Trench tho, since "SAI is propaganda", and that The Outside MV showed us that Tyler's escaped once again. But still, as I said, they're unpredictable, so let us see

I want something that hits heavy too. A bit more rap/ screams. And honestly if it is a double album I hope for it to be a mix of trench/ sai to finish of the whole story line.

Double album. 18 tracks. 9 tracks on each album. --1st album has 1 track describing the difficulty that each bishop/sin/struggle/weakness brings. How they try to destroy us. --2nd album has a corresponding song describing how to fight back against each particular bishop/temptation and take them down. This is what I want!

I just can’t wait to see if/how the escape from DEMA happens. Since this is the end of the storyline it’s gotta end in such a hopeful way right?? I just can’t wait to see how that happens! I would love to hear more hopeful/upbeat songs, like Trees, to really bring out the emotion of being able to defeat our demons, doubts, insecurities, anxieties!

I think they’re going to do red again. Now there is no reason behind this and maybe there will be a second new color, but I think red will be the next era again.

I want a Blurryface/Trench vibe.

My guess is the first single end of this month but then building up to their album drop which I can see happening in May. I’m probably most excited for the Ned storyline because there were so many of them. Haha imagine a war scene with bishops fighting against an army of Ned’s and banditos :)

I was thinking there isnt a heathens/level of concern single for this era.... what if the album peaks and ends with the deep dark emotional hit/final battle with the bishops and they do an "epilogue" single after touring to close out the DEMA story thats like a reprisal with a positive sort of "we beat the bad guys" feel? I don't envy the boys right now as the expectations are so high for this album. Sonically I am hoping for something so far from rock and pop...like I want Tyler to lean into his Billy Joel and Frank Sinatra. I never want the boys to be pinned down by what the fans want or what they think should happen sonically. Tyler is an amazing musician and artist and I trust where he wants to take us. Follow the Arctic Monkey's path and go to the moon or beyond. |-/

This might be going out on a limb, but i think I have something here. There were two predictions of album/era color, orange and purple. Orange is red + yellow and purple is red + blue. Both of these can only be made with red(blurryface) and yellow was Trench and blue was Sai. These color theories may contribute to what the beans have said in the past, that this will be the last album in the Dema storyline. Thoughts?
