ok but the reason vigil counters the drone is camera based. the drone uses a camera to identify its target, as established by the need to identify them visually to be able to target them.

I mean, the recoil on DMRs can be non existent if you slap a Muzzle break, and Vertical grip on them, so the revolver recoil isn't too crazy

yep every single dmr ( except for dogshit BB dmr and Glaz gun ) has literally 0 vertical and horizontal recoil already. Looking at his gameplay Brava dmr with muzzlebreak and vertical has lover recoil and has 14 rounds more in the mag. Poeple are overreacting or just never play any dmr in game

I’ve never said this (unlike many other people) BUT if they continue updates like this, fixed how ranked is set, continue to deal more appropriately with hackers, as well as making appropriate balances that don’t take 5 seasons to implement, I believe this could be the year of siege! Let’s hope they pull through but we don’t know the future yet.

he'll still have access on his smg, making that a more viable option to use on him. at least that seems to be their goal, make you have to choose between having the customization of the smg or power of the dp-27. personally i'm still gonna sling lead down hallways with the dp-27 so it's gonna hurt a bit, but he hasn't been too hard to re-learn with the different changes so should be fine

To be fair as far as I could tell, the majority of the siege play base were fine with the 1.5 going so long as they had a plan to go with it and this seems to be a decent plan

@@RealBrizz if what i've heard about night maps coming back is true, then it'll definitely see at least some use. night maps used to be so fun to spawnpeek on since the darkness made it hard for attackers to see where you were hiding and peeking from. the new season seems like it'll bring that back, but the addition of the 3.5 will give attackers a way to better spot and deal with those spawn peekers from afar. you wouldn't even need to waste too much utility, just have someone take a dmr on dokkaebi for example and that's basically the meta rn anyway

Eh pretty much but less rounds, longer reload, lower magnification, and more destruction capability. It'll play the same in a 1v1 ig

two things: im still waiting on an OP with akimbos not because it would be usefull but it would be fun (there are multiple elite animations with akimbos). and 23:44 i guess vigil could trick the camera on the drone so it cant "find" him...

The whole vigil countering demos drone makes sense since the drone is scanning vigil

Im really hoping with the Shield rework that they have sorted the hit boxes. Head or elbows peak around the shields, but it counts as hitting the shield when you shoot.

I think the idea behind the horizontal grip is that you're actually removing some of your reciever, lightening your weight. As for Ying's elite, she's a homage to old Hong Kong action films like John Woo movies. Imo it's a great skin. Culturally relevant, good aesthetic, amazing reference, and bonus points if you're into the other hobby (Cinophile)

So far it seems like Siege might be worth coming back to. A lot of interesting updates apart from attachments changes, not sure what to think about that. For me reason why angled grip was useless was recoil on many weapons which only became useable with vertical grip. Not exactly sure what to think about Deimos. In releation to the story Deimos should not be attacker or defender, he should be on the 3rd team solo against everyone xD About that Brava having to drone for 2 mins its not the same with Deimos since it doesnt matter who scans the enemy so if your team drones and scans enemy you dont have to waste time later to use the gadget, in case of Brava your teammates cant really help you with dronning.

Recoil in siege has been notoriously light, ads times have been too short for the tactical direction the game wants to go in. I'm glad with all the attachment changes except angled, I don't think grips should have anything to do with reload speed, maybe it could reduce hip fire spread.

@@bcw1nc865 Everybody has different take on recoil in siege and everybody prefers different weapons (not everybody plays vigil, lesion or warden for instance) and if we're talking about those attachment how does weapon grip increases movement speed? xD To me only vertical grip bonus makes sense. Angled usually wasnt worth it because of increased recoil on certain guns. Its was good on Melusi's MP5 before they nerfed it.

I like what I hear, at first the info was shared in such confusing ways from the content creator early access stuff but now that its all clear, this is all good news. Can't wait for new season.

Looks interesting. It's a lot of alienating changes, but at this point only the ones used to those are gonna stick around anyway. I'll hop on the TTS and see how it feels, but I doubt it'll make me fully dive back into siege.

Deimos seems to be needed in a coordinated team because Deimos will be given a large amount of info about a enemy location

Imagine in standard running Deimos, Jackal, Lion, Dokkaebi, & Like Grim or Thermite/Ying/Shield op. Literally advanced uav, you’d be so screwed on so many sites. Can’t wait to try it with friends

For the trajectory I think they should implement an additional option where the trajectory only shows the location the object will come in contact with. Kind of like just a little grey circle rather than the whole line coming from your character.

That little drone tracker thing is the jankiest thing ever. Out of everything that they could have done, that's what they went with? Maybe make an actual 3D model that follows the defender around, but make it small with snappy movement. The person its tracking can't easily shoot it as it's constantly flying behind them. Therefore, you need to rely on a teammate or another piece of utility like the Mute Jammer, frozen canister-thing, etc.

I wish they kept 2x scope in and dont know how to feel about laser changes, but for the most part these changes are actually great, good job Ubi

I think with the Year 1 and 2 bundle, they give you at least 6 operators for def and atk, right? I'm sure it prevents cheaters from just buying accounts if you haven't played in a while on that account. But I'm sure it's going to slow down the progression of bought or stolen accounts. I think in honesty it does need to be changed to 4 bought atk and def operators from year 1-8, and you have to own the entire year zero operators to play rank (Effectively you have to buy 14 operators with this logic).

Scope rework was when I quit years ago, and now this scope rework is when I come back. I never thought this'd happen... thank you ubisoft.

I’m so happy the 1.5x scope is going away. I missed when you actually had to think about the scope you were using instead of slapping on objectively the best optic in the game for 99% of gunfights.

Hey. I haven't played this game in a long time, but I always loved it as a single player. Is this the season to try and maybe get together some ranked matches, and work on bettering myself as a player of this game? If yes what would be good advice for a returning player? Looking to start on the ranked scene.

I think being humble and realizing you’re going to be really bad is a good mindset to have. But to improve you’re going to need to know a lot, for exmaple site setups on each map for defense, learning crosshair placement,even just learning how to attack each bomb site on each map through KZread is a good start

Ive said this for ages, I understand siege is not made to be realistic but I wish ubisoft would consult a weapons expert for weapon/attachment changes. Horizontal grip is quite literally "no grip", Angled Grip should have just taken this over instead. Grips dont effect reloading. The sights should have been changed in a different way but it would have taken more effort so they picked the easier choice.

They should've just said no grip but I like the change. There was literally no reason to not use a grip and I like they're finally giving a reason

I like shields in this game. I think the rework will only make them better for both sides. Just changing the meta a little bit is not bad. Can still deal with them easily on defense (except blitz) lol

As an older player im glad they are reverting the acogs back, I didnt really like the 1.5 much.

I have a friend who I've been trying to get to play siege more, so I have to wait until he gets 10 operators on each side or he buys 10 to play ranked.

Yeah I love the 2x and how many guns it was on I liked using on Fuze's AK and the AR33 it sucks but as long as I have my red dot A I'm happy.

Im crying you can hear the crowd erupt in cheer when they showed Ash ACOG.

I like the 1.5x but I can live with it going if there was a plan behind it, which seems they do have a nice plan for. Sucks to lose it, but I get why and it looks like the scope and ads changes are for the best. Deimos looks awesome but that pistol will need to get nerfed.

Im not an OG R6 player but I always want try the Acog I started when OSA came out it now Sad to see the 1.5x being removed

What annoys me is that my game crashed in a standard game, not ranked, and I got a SIXTY MINUTE BAN. Barely came back to the game and that was annoying to see.

As an og player the 1.5 was so much better than the acog. Getting shot from pixel peaks from ppl you can’t even see is back. Anyone that thinks this is an attacker buff is off their rocker.

I haven't played seige in like 3 years but if they are gonna buff monte and blitz and clash I am so fucking in dude I haven't watched yet but like I LOVED just running at people with blitz or monte, ignoring the shitty gun, and bonking people it was so much fun, or the times when I like 3v1 with just clash shield because people can only use a combined 4 braincells when she is on screen

Best season? Not sure. Best year? YES. so many brilliant changes coming to siege to help new learn and old players improve and I love that, also just some beautiful changes to menus and the like. Wasn't initially a fan of them adding Deimos as a playable character, but I'm able to overlook my issues with him because of the rest of the changes throughout the year.

i thought this till i saw the road map they i was like wtf

I liked 1.5x on roni rip and warden's gun, but ACOG makes it worth it!
