I thought 400 was overpriced but then you said the seat and shifter mount were included and i immediately thought "hey that ain't bad" Thank you for the review shaun, and I will see you in the chat lol. peace✌
I think this is great for me. I’m retired and this is a perfect step up from my GT Lite seat without blowing the budget. Subscribed to the channel and look forward to more content. Thanks!
This video is amazing, extremely useful for someone like me who wants to get more into sim racing and not have to worry about peddles moving about on the floor(such a pain) 10 out of 10 on the Indepth detail
Saw this on OC racing channel. I want to thank you for not playing annoying bass music during your review. It amuck better review and easier on the ears.

I appreciate that!
I'm interested in sim racing and this video answered every question from adjustments for the seat, wheel, shifter, pedals, and even highlighted pros and cons in an unbiased review. I really liked that you talked about the setup time a process and actually sat in the rig and showed different angles and discussed what you liked and didn't like - while being pretty unbiased. Excellent review my friend, thank you!
Excellent review, everything was clear. Now have to check my pedal compatibility
Thanks for this review! I really like how you described every aspect seperately and clearly. Not saying more or less then needed. And also providing footage of what you're talking about at appropriate times. I was considering another seat around this pricerange, but this one looks a lot better, so your video probably will make me go for this one :) I also appreciate you mentioned the sitting height would be okay for a desk, i was wondering that exactly. Because i bought my first decent monitor not long ago, and i didn't wanna strap it to a racing rig for that use alone.
I literally had this cockpit 10 years ago in the Omega branding, lol. Won't lie, it was a cracking good cockpit upgrade from what I had before it. But it taught me that as good as it was, i needed an even stiffer rig which meant no more reclinable seat for starters, a great source of flex that added hysteresis on stiffer load cell brake pedals in terms of accuracy and consistency of input from me. There's a reason Max Verstappen uses a carbon fiber seat in his sim rig. Max rigidity for minimum pedal input hysteresis. This rig is however the pinnacle of sim rigs needed for a potentiometer based brake pedal though and does reasonably well on softer throw lower peak pressure based load cell pedal sets. But for stiffer and shorter travel travel load cell pedals....I would not suggest it. E.g. an Invicta pedals would be an absolute no go on such a rig but that's common sense already anyway and not the target audience. But you get my point.
This is immensely helpful! Thank you - new sub.
Nice honest review. Appreciate the insight!
I forgot all about you guys, can’t believe you’re still doing content after all these years since the NR2003 days. 👍
As usual great review Shaun 😃

Thank you so much 👍
Bought a Moza R9 set yesterday, have been moving and changing my desk setup, but I think in the end I'll end up with this. Sounds great to be able to slide it under the desk. Looks like it's easy to disconnect the front and move it all out the way as well.
Thanks Shawn for reviewing something I can afford!
Such a great review, I would buy this cockpit right now if it wasn't for the pedal deck
Thanks for sharing! 😄

I am thinking of buying this, but I hope they could release a support arm for that shifter mount. Maybe an arm that you could attach to those extra holes. For a more rigid mount.
I recently got mine and finally got it set up the other day. So far, with my 100% thrustmaster set up (t128 wheel, th8a shifter, t-lcm pedals), it works great aside from the mod i had to do to comfortably mount my wheel. I just used spare bolts to attach a piece of wood on top of the wheel plate that extended far enough to use the clamping device. I think this is the perfect video to show off all the pros and cons of this cockpit. Awesome bang for your buck but obviously not quite as good as the more premium options out there. I would highly recommend for a first time buyer

Do u have the logitech g29 or similar wheel? And the wheel was too far away from you for how long your legs were? Im trying to find a solution, cause im having the problem that if i slide my seat forward enough for the wheel to sit close enough to me comfortably, then my pedals are too close, and if i sit back far enough where my legs are comfortable then the wheel is too far away
Thank you Shaun for the review I bought one of these today I am on starter thrustmaster wheel with tlcm pedals and th8a shifter I found your review very helpful with my decision to buy this and I also used your discount code and it made it more affordable in my budget so thank u again for the great review and also when I go up to moza it can handle it so that make me happy keep up the good work and reviews

Moza R5 bundle and this rig might be the combo i'll go with for simdrifting as i am sick and tired of G920 on a desk.
Okay Shawn, just ordered and gave you a little love with the discount code my brother :) If you have a contact at NLR you might suggest them making some non-drilled vertical supports like the ones that attach to the wheel deck available as an addon for those who plan to move to DD wheel. Seems like that would be an easy & inexpensive way to reinforce it plenty for a DD. GT Omega ended up doing something similar for their ART Cockpit. Shame everything they sell except their high end stuff is and has been out of stock for months.
Random question maybe you could help with on this cockpit. How far up does the NLR lite monitor stand come up to on it? Currently would be using a 34 UW monitor and don’t want it to far back.
Pedal plate was the deciding factor, should have been 0 degree or adjustable, 20 degree is just insane and will not work with my pedals. Really anoying when they are so close, but failed so hard with pedals.

Agree it is a bit of an annoyance, .especially depending on what kind of pedals you have
The intro described my set up to a T lol
idk if you can help .Will the Track Racers direct monitor mount fit on the NLR GT elite
Awesome video!! What's the discount code??
Seems like a good deal! 😎
Should I get this or wait for the GT Omega Titan to come back in stock?
the backrest has a lot of flex under braking
Do you think this setup would work with a 75in tv?
Would you recommend this or the Logitech playseat trophy?
I refuse to purchase a sim rig that’s harder to get out of than my fully caged track car 🤣
I have an old T500RS, I see that the wheel is compatible but I don't see the pedals that came with it in the pedal list as shown in "product legend" at 04:55 Does anyone know if my pedal will fit anyway? Maybe they"ll fit in the T300RS holes?
Will it work with the Asetek Wheel Base?
I was just about ready to pull the trigger on one of these but decided to wait ona few more reviews, I saw a review on another channel and that flex in the middle of several centimeters while using a load cell brake is just a deal breaker for me. Shaun did you experience anything like this as well? It seems good for the price and what you get, and I could live with he fixed pedal plate but when the whole frame of the chassis flexes like that it gives me pause. Myabe, hopefully, NLR will take the feedback to heart and can come up with some sort of addon solution the way GT Omega did for their ART cockpit.

I watched that review as well however, I do not in the slightest have that issue. I have the support beams as well as the seat ran as far back as they go and the shifter is right where I'd like it.

@@King2Stone Thanks for the feedback. Can I ask what pedal set you are using? I'm wondering if maybe reviewers were sent a pre-production model or something like that. I'm back to considering this rig as I had settled on a GT Omega ART but they can't seem to keep their products in i-stock for more than few days, when I went to order it nearly everything they sell was out of stock, including the ART cockpit, and this has not just been a holiday season issue for them. They've been consistently out of stock on a great number of their products for months. Which does not fill me with confidence if I was to buy from them.

@@surgtech1503 No problem, my experience with the pit sofar has been quite positive. I run the CSL Elite V2 Pedal set with the lightest elastomers. There is only very small amounts of flex in the frame detectable when applying lots of force (and while you're staring at it), but I'd argue that it doesn't affect the racing experience in the slightest. I also run the 8nm CSL DD on max FFB in AC and again noticed no movement while racing. After a couple hours of use I feel quite comfortable in the rig and have few qualms with it. I can see how the pedal deck would be an issue with folks who want to run Heusinkvelds or some other vertical pedal though. I'd say in that case you might want to look elsewhere because it would be very uncomfortable to drive in for that reason alone. All in all it has treated me quite well for my particular situation and my impressions I got from the company were quite good. Hope this helps you out some.
Es compatible con la base thrusmaster t300 rs?
Will this be too heavy to move around and will it cause damage on wooden floor? I want to use a tv by the wall, will prb need to move it to the center of the room and when not using then I'll put it somewhere close by the cornor of the same room.
@King2Stone

I would not chance running it on a wooden floor unless you were to put some feet on it somehow. It has some edges I would be concerned about particularly around the front-back connection point.
Do they deliver in Canada?

Honestly, I put mine together yesterday and I was able to get that shifter mount rock solid just by cranking the bolts down good enough. It has almost no play and very little flex with a decent amount of force applied to it.
How well would this work with T-Lcm pedals in terms on incline?
@King2Stone

NLR have a picture on the product page with the TLCM pedals mounted.
How adjustable is this to accommodate a variety of different heights and body types? Would small kids as well as large people find a comfortable seating position? Are the bolsters super tight?

The seat adjustment on the rig is huge. Children could likely fit if you wanted to have a family racing day lol. Very quick to adjust as well because the seat is on rails.

It will be a bit tight for you with your height. Your best option is to go profile if you have the space. That will give you much more adjustability
I've bought a NLR Wheelstand 2.0 a couple of months ago (allready a huge upgrade to desk mounting) and just built a wooden base for it, that I painted black and screwed to the WS 2.0. Put a leather sport seat out of a BMW 1 series on top. Couldn't be happier, very sturdy and a lot cheaper than the regular seat addon for the WS 2.0. Total cost, including the WS 2.0 were just about 400€ (should be something like 450$ I suppose) and you are waaay more flexible plus you have a super comfortable seat. Next step is adding a couple of transducers to the rig... :D Edit: Great review though of course, as always! :)
Those upper seat bolsters seem unnecessary. Looks uncomfortable

If you got a saw and drill build it out of wood. I chose this route because I have to have 100% rock solid with no hint of flex. I ditched 40/80 profile once I got higher torque wheel. Wood is cheap and easy to make changes to and you can build it precisely to your comfort and desires.
