    hey man, i own the Godox's AD600, and when i turn the handle, there is a feature to allow me to pull out the handle as i turn. Have you tried to see if you can pull the handle out so that i won't scratch the body of the light? (it should be a spring-loaded feature)

    They do look amazing for everyday use and I like their level of warmth, quite often constant lighting is very cold. As you pointed out you have kept your monos, I think they’ll be needed for all the splash shots etc and I’m not sure how the physics of constant lighting will overcome the advantages of super high speed sync.

    Thanks for this video!! I have watched every other godox 60 or similar output light video hoping for some real world exposure data. So this really helps. I currently use strobes, but would like constant lighting for tabletop and for video as well. I really like the immediate feedback and being able to shoot wide fstops. I was also hoping to shoot portraits and small groups, but I’d like to be at f8- 1/60 plus, factor in larger light to subject distance and I’d need the NanLite Forza 500’s at the very least! I’m curious why you were at 70 percent on the last shot? I personally would have liked the extra 1/3 stop of shutter speed to combat any movement. Thanks again!

    About the adjustment knob thingy at 11:35, i'm pretty sure you can pull that handle away from the body to turn it sort of like a ratchet so it doesn't hit your light. I noticed some of my cheap flash s-brackets with a similar handle do that.

    Thanks for sharing this, I use an 135W LED Bulb with a soft box for my shoots and it makes the shutter speed go really really slow. I am always on a tripod so not a problem but with action shots I need more light. So this 60W light is then even less powerful than the normal LED bulb right or is it something different?

  • @LiveMusicOntario
    @LiveMusicOntario4 жыл бұрын

    November 2019 I bought one of the SL60W (AC powered) and a Godox pop-up softbox - 38" (80cm) square. The softbox came with a speedlite Bowens bracket, not suitable for the SL60W. I then ordered a Bowens ring by Godox suitable as a go between for the box and the SL60W. A word of advice on the rings; they come in different dimensions of diameter and the size of the locking tabs, affecting security of fit to both the light and the box, even within a brand. e.g the Godox speedlite ring is 10 mm larger diameter than the Godox accessory version. That's a night and day difference in the box about to fall off the mount. So if you can, order those things as a combo. I ended up making some of my own rings on a 3D printer. The SL60W box included that 7" aluminum dish and a few different "shower cap" style diffusers that stretch over that small dish. A common package listed on Amazon. I can't see myself using the shower caps. I keep the box because it packs everything nicely in shaped foam. For shot setups like this episode, 50% power is about all I need. For doing an interview subject from about 6 feet, I estimate 70% and up in an unlit room. I don't notice the fan noise at all. I'd be putting a lapel mic on the subject anyway. I'm very happy with the product to price ratio on both products.

The ML60 is also for bit of video filming. Do you find he SLB60 powerful enough for food photography? And for video? Do you have problems with fan noise? Thanks in advance ;-)
