I heard that these machines came out bad. Wanted to know why they have a bad reputation? I’m planning on buying

They are Good you just need to put a cleaning solution every once in a while, I’ve got mine for $3 at a pawnshop tear it apart and cleaned the valve and is been working for the past 7 years, I replaced the carbon brushes about a year ago and is just fine, put a little of cleaning solution every time you pour more soap in it to keep it flowing nicely, I don’t know what else to say, the second generation are great to but there are more parts to replace but they are great as well, or get you an old school all metal one for around 500 bucks on eBay you won’t regret that investment, Good luck with your new lather machine 👍🏻👍🏻

High maintenance machine, it is a hit or a mess.

This is the worst lather king machine ever.... I've been a Barber for 28 years and used to love the previous model but this is now the worst redesign of all time... they are super loud they don't ever heat up like theold ones, I've now had 4 in under a year. The best thing about this machine is that they will give you another one which you will definitely need. Sounds negative but Barbers need to look out for each other...we are the ones in the field, not just selling them..

These machines are total junk. I have been a barber for 45 years, and trust me this is not the machine to buy. Nothing but trouble. They were okay way back in the day, but not now. If you like this type of motorized machine get the scalpmaster. It is much more reliable. I also like the Wahl. Which is kind of like a little pot with a little pump handle on top. So there is very little to go wrong overtime. They are almost half the price of these Campbell machines. And very reliable. They will tell you you have to use the Wahl soap with their machine, but that's not correct. You can use different types of soap.

Worst machine ever. It clogs constantly and you spend more time unclogging it than using it. The Scalpmaster which basically ripped off the old design is way better. Don't waste your time.
