Being a citizen of Baltimore, we have some of the best brews around. We definitely take a lot of pride in our craft.
Did my own tour of Balt Brews on my birthday! I hit Full Tilt, Guinness, Heavy Seas and Union Craft with a start point at WOB Timonium. That was a GOOD day!

There are so many quality breweries in Baltimore, but I cannot even begin to emphasize just how many are located right near the city! Just a little ways South you’ll have Black Flag, Hysteria, Sapwood Cellars, Jailbreak, Elder Pine, Manor Hill and Crooked Crab. That’s excluding amazing beer-centric venues like Victoria Gastro Pub.

The beer scene in Baltimore is one of the best in the country. Not only do you have the breweries within the city limits, but there are even more within a 30-45 minute drive of the city. I would put us right up there with the Boulder’s, Portland’s, Asheville’s, and other great beer towns.

I was in Baltimore in the late 90s. There was a phenomenal beer scene there at that time. Brewer's Art was a highlight, but Sisson's was the winner. Did Sisson's become Heavy Seas? I saw the old sign on the wall there.
