Thank you for creating this tutorial and clearly explaining each step to create this interaction in Storyline. I was having a difficult time creating a similar interaction. I watched several videos and they each omitted a step. Your tutorial was concise, easy to follow, and I was able to execute this interaction with minimal issues.

I am happy it helped. If this doesn't work (sometimes Storyline can be annoying), 3:42, instead of going into each layer and adding a trigger to adjust the variable, you can add the trigger to the button / object the user is clicking. So you say say "When select button 1, adjust variable to true". And do this for each button / object the user is meant to click. IMPORTANT: You must then move this trigger you created to the top of the list for that button, so it is above the trigger for the layer to be opened.

Hey mate, thank you for creating this tutorial as it is very easy to understand and follow. Having the troubleshooting solution in the end saved me a lot of time as I had fade transitions in for all layers and was wondering why the next button wasn't popping up. Thanks again mate :)

Thank you SO much for this. This is the first tutorial (video or written) that really properly explains how to do this. I have been struggling with this for a while now!!

Heyyyyyy, I'm glad it helped. It's something I use all the time and is a really useful feature :) If it isn't working, then I've added in additional / alternative instructions under one of the other comments on this page.

@@CreateActionLtd It worked perfectly - I used it for layer tracking on a single slide as well as multi-slide tracking for a 'landing slide' with multiple elements that need to be viewed and it worked great. No more struggling with group state changes. ugh!

Thanks for this. But for some reason I have to click 7 times instead of 6 to get the Next button to appear, even though I only have 6 variables set up exactly the same way you have. Interesting

Hi sir, Good explanation. In case out 6 click button any 3 button or 4 button needs to be clicked to activate next button? How to write a trigger for that?

Not something I have ever done. But I would create a counter on the screen (make it invisible / hidden). When the user clicks on butters, it changes the Variable on each layer to 'True' and have the counter count how many 'True' variable there are. Once it goes to 3, have a trigger to make the Next button visible. As I said, not something I have ever had to do, but that is how I would approach it.
