They are closing prisons because the land they sit on is going to be up for bid to select Real Estate developers. San Quentin sits on prime Marin County waterfront property, Folsom Prison the same. It is a sprawling facility on Prime Sacramento land. Napa State mental Hospital will also be closed. Again prime real estate. Already sold was the sprawling 100 plus acre facility in Eldridge sold.All the land surrouding the Travis AFB in solano sold to New York Tech investors so they can build a gated city for wealthy Tech investors. The same ones that destroyed San Francisco and picked up their toys and fled.

Well, people are like trees, they have roots. When you're young and just starting out it's not that big a deal to move 1000 miles and build a new life. But when you're 79, have kids, grand-kids, and great-grand-kid's, all living within 10 miles of you, moving to another State is not that simple.

I moved to an open carry state and getting a concealed carry permit i it s pretty easy, Funny, that we have a low crime rate. Our "neighborhood watch" likes to greet those who don't live in the area. 😁

I just got an offer on my home today! Can't wait to leave this messed up insane liberal state. I never thought I would ever leave Calif. and the town I live i is a small mountain area with almost no crime. What it does have is a Way over taxed state and county and the insurance companies gouging anyone that has fire insurance!! The laws or lack of in Calif. is beyond nuts!! I'll miss a lot of the things here but never the liberal politics!!

Every single day there is another reason to leave this state before it get really bad.
