Thank you for the review of Raconteur Press! It has been an honor and a privilege to have several of my short stories published by them. They are, by far, some of the most open, honest and forthcoming people I've met. I wish them all of the success in the world. Their anthologies are well worth your time.

Thanks for the review, Jonathan! I (and my writer's group) have been working with Raconteur for a while now, and they've been great. We've grown as they have. I especially appreciate that they're trying to build a culture where all sorts of writers writers both provide encouragement for each other, and help each other improve their craft. There's a couple of small presses in the SFF space that really work well together, and I love seeing how Raconteur is starting to innovate in that space.

As one of the two authors, who received a contract at the Con, thank you for shining a light on Raconteur Press. New writers wouldn't have as many opportunities to hone their craft and reach audiences without LawDog and the people of Raconteur.

Great review! From a reader's perspective, I can say that each anthology provides an assortment of voices and styles. Not every story might ring your bell in terms of taste, but they work to ensure every anthology is varied, albeit remaining in that collection's central theme. As an author, I can attest that Raconteur Press isn't in the business of growing mushrooms. Sales numbers and royalties are all nice and transparent. Contracts are simple and clean, no rights-grabs or other hinky stuff. The editorial staff is actively engaged with the writers, questions and concerns are addressed with speed unheard of in publishing.

Thanks for a thorough and interesting review of my home press! I call Raconteur "the most author-friendly press in publishing today" and I truly believe it. There's some amazing stories already out and more to come. --Wally Waltner, Wallbanger Creative

As another RacPress writer, thank you for the spotlight! That was a very well done and cogent review. I think you are spot on that amongst their varied themes and the topics, not every book may be your cup of tea, but one of them will.

We love the Raconteur Press covers. Cedar is amazing! The contracts for the authors are clear and fair. I'm hoping to write more for them in the coming year and to make steps towards indie publishing.

For clarity - You See, What Happened Was, and He Was Dead When I Got There belong to the Spurgle series, and were published between Your Honor I Can Explain and What, You Again?.

Good content! The Three Investigators and Encyclopedia Brown were a couple of my favorite mystery type series when I was a kid. Bringing stories like those back is a fun idea.

Well, I've read most of Raconteur Press's anthologies, and while there have been a few stories that really weren't 'my cup of tea' (I don't care much for horror, and there are a few of those here and there), most of their stories are really, really good! They are finding some great authors, including some who are brand new to being published. Disclosure, my daughter does most (if not all) of the cover art, so I'm a little prejudiced there, but I think the covers are excellent, too!

Those are the Post Card anthologies. Can you write a short story that can fit on the back of a post card. 50 words total--not 49 or 51. One of the anthologies contains a short story by their youngest author, Remy DiNote, who was all of 9 years old when she submitted it.

Hey, thank you for the shout out for Rac Press! I'm happy to be published in two Postcard Anthos, as well as the new Alien Family Values antho. My wife Liska McCabe is published in 5 of the 7 Postcards series, and we're Remy's parents!
