News conference with Professor Peter Higgs

A news conference featuring Professor Peter Higgs was webcast live on Friday 6 July at 10.30am from the University's historic Old College.
Professor Higgs spoke to invited journalists and took questions following Wednesday's announcement by scientists at CERN, which gave the strongest indication yet that the Higgs boson particle exists.
Members of University staff who have worked closely with Professor Higgs over the years also took questions and there was an announcement regarding an initiative by the University to further enhance research into theoretical physics.

The Indian Scientists Bose is credited only with the discovery and postulation of a Boson. Again, Simply because Higgs is a Boson, Doesn't mean the credit goes to Boson or Indians. That's like saying the guy came up with the discovery of Rockets is credited with Rocket that U.S made that took Humans to the Moon..
Several comments here reflects ignorance based on tribal pride. Who cares which country did what? We insignificant humans has learnt so much and that's worth celebrating.
