Noel's first group was New Dawn Band, he ought to tell that cause everything in his life as a musician started with that group that was part of his metamorphosis. He played in The Far West Folkhouse in Kamuning where he met his soon-to-be bandmates, that was in the early 80s. Sad but true, he has not considered or even uttered any word about his beginning as a folksinger, where he started, and who was his co-folksingers during those early days.

Unfortunately, our local tone woods are not good for making guitars. We dont have maple or spruce or rosewood.

I hope Noel and Joey not only promote Pilipino music but also Pilipino-made guitars. We have so many excellent Pilipino luthiers. Let's support them too. Mas maganda siguro kung kumakanta ng kundiman o katutubong tugtugin gamit sariling gawang gitara kesa imported na Taylor.
