Who designs these things with black tanks that hold 92 gallons and gray tanks that hold 60? Should be the other way around. If you can fill 92 gallons of black tank, you don't need a motor home. You need a doctor!

@@robertdragoff6909 it's pretty common for the bathroom sinks to drain in black tank... kitchen sink however is gray. But your point is still pretty good about tank sizes. I have 100 fresh, 40 gray and 40 black. I usually carry 75 gallons of water. After drinking water, giving dogs water and normal bath/toilet use it ends up filling both tanks about the same time. I tend to use lil more water in toilet to keep things moving when I dump. Take it easy!

That little solar panel on the roof is so cute.

Matt - what is your issue with the screen door? I have a 22 Newmar with the same door. It's magnetic so no latch required to open or close the door. That red part is simply a lock for the screen. Did you not realize the door was magnetic? I think the door is great.

I agree with everything you guys said, all your likes and dislikes. One other thing I noticed, that you guys didn't touch on, I don't like that, at that price, you don't get a power cord reel. The power cord was just thrown in there like my 13yr old was too busy to care how it went in. From a company like Newmar, at that tier, I'd expect a power cord reel. Other than that, another great review, like always!

I like that they put a counter on top of the stove, way more room... Good jump.😉

This has everything I want/need in a motorhome. I love the bath and a half AND a washer dryer. Perfect coach. Can’t wait to see it in person at Hershey. The little dislikes could be fixed with a new screen door.

For something with limited sleeping options, I don't see the point in the half bath. Day-use guests? Don't like how the awning arm covers a small portion of the passenger window. And I really wish the NPS generators were as quiet as the Onan - can barely hear it.

Great review as usual, tier 4 luxury motor homes do not have a TPO roof. Newmar has guts charging premium high prices and give you a Forrest River roof. I hope that is one of your dislikes.

Great video !! We have the 2019 Canyon Star 3710, same floor plan, just a foot longer and the ceiling is a little taller. Ours doesn't have the recliners, I really want to swap that out. One of the best features of this floor plan is you can use the whole motorhome with the slides in if you need too, like at a rest stop. I think they should have angled the radio/backup camera. Agreed with the half bath, ours doesn't have the extra counter top/drawers, it's no doubt a PPPP !! Wonder why they changed the screen door, weird. I agree I don't like the little plastic door holder on the outside of the coach. Great job.

This is the Motorcoach I fell in love with over the COVID lockdown. I'm sad to see that the MSRP is now close to $220K. It seems like the middle class is being priced right out of quality RV's, very sad. I was also sad to see there was not much solar on the roof and no Lithium batteries which would add thousands as extras. I won't even mention a Liquid Spring upgrade. It did have a stackable washer and dryer which is also one of my "must haves". Thank you for the review. I missed you guys here at Albany RV, I would have loved to take ya'll to the Texas Roadhouse for dinner! OR up to the Saratoga Racetrack! Well, maybe next time... be well and thanks again. You two are AWESOME.

I love this floorplan. I especially like the bath and a half feature and the king size bed. I really really love your reviews. They are very thorough. The one gentle request I would like to make is I would love to know more about the infotainment capabilities such as whether satellite radio and satellite TV are standard or options and if they are options, how difficult and costly are they to install. Admittedly I am looking for my first motorhome, so I don't know much right now. Thanks for all you both do.

I love the layout/floorplan. I would consider this model if I were in the market for a Class a. Likes: pass thru storage, King bed, ccc, no bunk over cab, storage draws under dinette seating, pull out drawer inn pantry, bath and half., storage under bed, bathroom. Dislikes: vents on floor, no oven, would prefer lighter cabinets, washer/dryer (rather have storage).

C'mon people! Beautiful motorhome, but WHY do you need FOUR televisions in a 36-foot motorhome? I'm also not a big fan of the "backsplash" in the kitchen area.

Don't like that there is not a bunk about the cab, I do not like the fridge, I prefer the gas and electric fridges. Don't get the tv in the cab?? Toilet is to tight!! Great review. This is my favorite floor plan. However, my three dislikes: When this floorplan was a Canyon Star (the 3710 - before they went with all front engine diesels in the Canyon Star line up) there was an option for a one piece fiberglass roof that isn't available on the Baystar. Newmar doesn't offer factory installed Liquid Spring suspension as an option. You have to pay for the standard suspension and then pay a third party to remove it and upgrade to Liquid Spring if you want to go in that direction. They don't offer a propane oven below the cooktop.

Hi Matt and Andrea! I dislikes are the vents in the floor and the screen door lock in the Rv. Those are my dislikes. My likes are the dinette the two bath and a half and full bath. Love the theater seats and tv placement. Thank you Matt and Andrea.

What a nice Una. I don't have to say anything about a Tankless HWT, cause it already has one. On the roof, I would probably add more solar panels, and without a doubt an In Motion Satelite System. I need TV.... and internet, so while Camping, I wouldn't miss a MATTSRVREVIEWS show. I don't actually have any dislikes, pretty happy with everything. Maybe switch the passenger seat to power as well. Valances are cool, I wonder if they make the reverse of those, black with white lines? The new characters are cute, cant wait to see the European Campers. The MSRP of $ 244,221.99 is not bad, I mean, look what you're getting. I would delete the garbage can, I can get one that size at Dollarama here in Winnipeg, for $ 2.50. I actually like the toilets in this unit. Overall, A very good unit, and appropriatly priced. Great review, you two.

This is a perfect “couple’s floorpan”, so why do you need a cramped 1/2 bath 10 ft from the full bath😑

I don't like no oven. But I love the RV. I could easily full time in that. The decor is great!

It does have an oven. It's a convection microwave.

What does the solar panel do?

How cold can these things handle? Could I visit NY for a few days in the winter?

Needs a dishwasher and soft close for drawers and closets.

Fully loaded trash can price is $244,221 (MSRP fully loaded) / 20,525 dry weight (off the spec sheet, assumed fully loaded bcz as presented would be less) x 3 lbs (it’s a medium trash can) = a mere $35.70 - definitely a boutique kitchen supply shop price but not $157 sorry Matt .:. Hard core boondock friendly 👍🏽full access slides in, big ccc and tank capacities, generator; big cockpit seats 👍🏽 swivel feature, combo lots of creature comforts in the BIG living area including quiet AC; king beds rule 👍🏽 u already know; bonus stackable washer dryer 👍🏽 good location; double bonus great paint job 👍🏽 nice details .:. I’d option an overhead bunk 👎🏽 for the extended family (double 👎🏽 if it doesn’t offer one - it’s not shown on the floor plan); cockpit styling combo mattress comfort 👎🏽 underwhelming for the price point - I will spend a lot of time in both those places; kitchen counter 👎🏽 is off colour .:. It’s high end finish the storage is trimmed out and carpeted 👍🏽👎🏽 i’d option for a hard surface heavy duty polymer liner thats easy to clean .:. I would option more solar; Didn’t have much and it’s a big roof.:. thanks for the review M/A

Everything is very nice, and looks like great quality, but it also looks very dated. It's not my cup of tea, but I'm sure some elderly couples will like it very much

I think some of the drawers are a bit small and with short sides. Is it possible to say there is too much wasted storage? What in the world would you store in these tiny cubby holes here and there? I would prefer the double door fridge with freezer drawer below. And this is true in all of the motorhomes - where is the broom closet? I hate that I have to store cleaning supplies in the overhead cabinets, just can't help it. And you are so right - the screen door leaves a lot to be desired. Had my heart set on a Newmar, looks like I will have to go examine the Tiffin.

I didn't get a chance to finish watching but let me first say those wall sconces are ART DECO!!! I like alot of things about this one but my number One dislike is the awening arm blocking the passenger window.

Matt, the RV is one of the last 2022’s and not a 2023. The 2023 Baystar has been re-designed with new front and end caps, new paint schemes, new furniture and interior colors, a fiberglass roof, and a 7 foot ceiling. Please review a 2023 when you get one in.

I would agree, seems the one you reviewed Matt is a 22. Looks like it has halogen headlights! When is Newmar going to see the light 💡, pun intended, and switch to LED? I got a laugh during Angie’s NIRVC video when she made a big deal about Bay Star having CarPlay, OMG! For the level of $$$ Newmar is asking, really!

You are correct. The slide out trim, and passenger seat areas are wrong as well.

I haven’t drove one of these larger rigs in a while. Do they come with some kind of lane control? I just notice that when I’m running down the interstate , some drivers seem to have a bit of lane control issues. It’s a thought at over 200K someone would figure that out. Love your vids! 👍👍

If you add safety T plus and bigger sway bar they are way easier to drive and stay in your own lane!!

The 3 likes and dislikes… not enough seatbelts or car seat latches, vents on the floor are so 90s; carpet in the storage; no tv-vator….like the stackable washer/dryer, the driver instruments…that’s all I have

I think half baths in 37 feet of space is a waste of space. Do a mid bath and use that space for more living area.

Ok so Im trying to understand....since the cargo capacity is 4,350 lbs....does that mean you couldnt tow a 4000lb vehicle behind it without only leaving yourself 300 lbs for everything else? Or is towing capacity different?

Outside layout was perfect. Generator in front! Yes!!! Inside not so much. Carpet🤢🤮 Lower end finishes for sure. Small fridge. TV too close to seats. W/D great! Theater seating great! Bath 1/2 yes!

Brown cabinets. Looks like from early 90’s. Golden oak is over. Most brown is over. White and black is most common now. Then colors. Matt please mention color options. If this only color I wouldn’t buy. But love no bunk over cab.

I love this floor plan but I would not buy a Tpo roof which is a rubber roof which you have to maintain yearly and they still are junk

Really like this unit! LIKES: 1. When I saw the kitchen backsplash, I thought, "Finally! A really nice looking backsplash!" 2. The entire floor is one level! 3. Bed - if it is a King size. If it is a queen size, then it goes in the dislikes! DISLIKES: 1. The bathrooms, need a little bit more width. 2. Toilet paper holders need to be put not right up against the leg, the body. 3. On camera, the storage units look small. It looks like I won't be able to put the wheelchair or walker in any of them.

Took Newmar 1 1/2 years to finally fix the entry door on our Newmar and that's 4 tries after trying to rig it. Came installed crooked and only 3 screws hold it to the coach. Was in the shop for 9 months we sold it and new owner just let me know they had finally fixed it to 90%. Junk

You can always tell the Quality or lack thereof regarding the overall unit by simply looking at the seat and back cushion on the dinette. And, this one is not good, not thick, no springs in the seat. If they cut corners on that then there is a lot of lipstick and rouge going on.

What model year again? Looks like a '22 to me.

the whole layout is good ( the TV really isn't right across from the seats ) but very nice layout unfortunately the whole thing looks like it's held together with glue / big price for a a cheaply put together RV

I beleive this is because it has 2 black tanks. One for each toilet.

Luxury motor homes have a nice fiberglass roof, not a cheap TPO roof☹️

@@stevez340 yes TPO membranes require a ton of inspection and maintenance if you use cheapest materials. But I still prefer them. Rubber/TPO is easy to repair also. You can patch those if needed and believe me, it happens. Rubber/tpo roofs are much more forgiving as far as repairs go. It costs $16,000 sometimes $25,000 for the cost of a brand new roof decking and topping replacement on any RV roof, depending on length and material.

Like the cabinets, big sinks, lights on slide, shower; dislikes no bunk over cab, valences are not to my taste, and the color of the cushions is not my favorite
