    This is also a great example of why it's not a good idea to go "all electric" for everything (cars, appliances, yard equipment, etc), because you'll be in a major pinch when the electricity is out for days or weeks. Having options is key!

    Heres an idea you could mount this generator in a trailer and tow it behind the Tesla and it could charge the car as you drive, no need to thank me 😜🇬🇧

    When there is a power outage or you live in an area known for power outages, it's not only nice for your house, but also for EVs. Don't be a hater, it is what it is. I personally hate EVs, but can't hate on someone looking to be prepared.

    The point is nobody is saving the planet by using EVs. You cannot escape fossil fuels no matter how hard you try or how it makes you feel good inside. No wind, hydro, electrical, etc can exist without petro.

    Thanks for the video. Wondering why that generator does not support full 42A on the 14-50 receptacle. Wonder if the frequency or total harmonic distortion changes too much for your tesla charger. It would be great to see the power waves on an oscilloscope. I hear the engine surging on the video.

    You said "Charged, no problems.". Not true. The irregular, unstable voltage will not allow you beyond 22A. I tried the Duramax 12,000-Watt and it was stable up to 30A, however it needed a hair dryer load to help stabilize the voltage when I started charging my Tesla Model S. The display I'm the car shows the voltage bouncing all over from 240 to 245V. I'm going back to my original plan, in an emergency, have some guy with a truck "tow-charge" my car. That's up to 50 kW.

    ALL electric cars use fossil fuels.Think that charging station is magic??It runs on diesel generators. Somewhere-Coal,oil or gas is being burned to produce electricity. While water,wind or solar sounds like a solution when you look at the numbers it’s not.

    Since the vast majority of our electricity comes from fossil fuels, most electric cars are charged with fossil fuels. Obviously he doesn’t do this on a daily basis. And burning natural gas at an electric power station is a much more efficient process than burning gasoline in an internal combustion engine.

  • @johnnyhotrod

    @johnnyhotrod

    20 күн бұрын

    @@lorenjones7222 No,it’s not.They’re not “fossil fuels”,that’s a lie. All power must come from somewhere.Natural gas is not more efficient than gasoline or LP,in fact it produces close to 20% less BTU’s than gasoline. Those power stations are burning predominantly diesel,the stuff environmentalists hate. Here’s the trick,it makes ZERO sense to have electric cars.It’s no cleaner,some form of coal or gas is burned to produce the same hydrocarbons or more. Except for power produced by water,solar and wind are simply not efficient enough at this point. It’s all a waste
