Newly qualified SA-trained Chartered Accountants opt for overseas jobs

Newly qualified Chartered Accountants are leaving South Africa in droves for attractive salaries abroad. This on the back of only about 40% of candidates passing the accountancy board exam this year.
Linda Maqoma is President of the Association for the Advancement of Black Accountants of Southern Africa. She looks at possible solutions to arrest the flight of scarce skills abroad.

What else should they want? Spiritual fulfilment from a job? I’m already paying tens of thousands of rands a month in tax to watch it get stolen then my brothers and sisters must suffer and starve in my country. It seems you are jealous Daniel, look within yourself before commenting and showing true colours.
