Pada 19 Mei 2022, jajaran Kementrian Perindustrian RI meresmikan xEV Center yang merupakan fasilitas pembelajaran dan pengembangan kapabilitas elektrifikasi serta energi hijau milik PT Toyota Motor Manufacturing Indonesia (TMMIN). xEV Center yang bertujuan untuk meningkatkan kesadaran masyarakat akan pentingnya mencapai lingkungan yang lebih hijau melalui kehadiran berbagai teknologi elektrifikasi di Indonesia ini menjadi fasilitas edukasi yang dapat diakses oleh seluruh publik baik bagi Pemerintah, akademisi, siswa sekolah, dan masyarakat umum.
Pada Fase Pertama, xEV Center difokuskan untuk menyajikan beragam informasi terkait elektrifikasi yang terbagi ke dalam 4 zona, yaitu Inisiatif Lingkungan, Teknologi, Ekosistem Hijau, dan Masyarakat Berkelanjutan. Ke depannya, xEV Center akan meningkatkan fasilitasnya sebagai Toyota Capability Center dengan perluasan area Eco-Renewable Energy and Research lalu akan diikuti dengan area Mobility.
“xEV Center akan menjadi Fasilitas Pembelajaran, Kapabilitas, dan Penelitian Teknologi Elektrifikasi, Energi Hijau, dan Mobilitas sebagai sarana bagi SDM Indonesia untuk memperdalam pemahaman mengenai teknologi dan ekosistem industri otomotif di masa depan sehingga Indonesia terus menjadi bagian penting dari industri otomotif dunia,” ungkap Bob Azam Direktur Corporate Affairs PT TMMIN.

On May 19, 2022, the members of Indonesian Ministry of Industry inaugurated the xEV Center which is a learning and development facility for electrification and green energy capabilities owned by PT Toyota Motor Manufacturing Indonesia (TMMIN). The xEV Center, which aims to increase public awareness of the importance of achieving a greener environment through the presence of various electrification technologies in Indonesia, has become an educational facility that can be accessed by the entire public, both for the Government, academics, school students, and the general public.
In phase One, the xEV Center is focused on presenting various information related to electrification which is divided into 4 zones, namely Environmental Initiatives, Technology, Green Ecosystems, and Sustainable Communities. In the future, the xEV Center will improve its facilities as a Toyota Capability Center by expanding the Eco-Renewable Energy and Research area, followed by the Mobility area.
"xEV Center will become a Learning, Capability and Research Facility for Electrification, Green Energy, and Mobility Technology as a means for Indonesian human resources to deepen their understanding of the technology and ecosystem of the automotive industry in the future so that Indonesia continues to be an important part of the world automotive industry," said Bob Azam, Director of Corporate Affairs of PT TMMIN.
