This song is a mix of UK Garage and drum and bass... i know there are some random obscure kpop tunes that use the genres.. but not both fused together and certainly not a whole ep doing this sound.. newjeans are VERY different.

They are basically RnB chill vibes....to say they are a typical Kpop group.. .i don't think so ...their genre is more to RnB & City Pop...like their latest songs - Bubblegum, How Sweet & Supernatural...very chill...more to those who love easy breezy songs😅

They are much more 90s clubland... really only their first EP is pure 90s RnB (with bubblegum being citypop/ RnB as well) everything else they have done have been clubland sounds... but i agree.. to say they are typical kpop is hilarious.. i been listening to kpop since 2nd gen and nowadays newjeans is literally the ONLY kpop group i listen to because they are SOOOO different to everyone else (particularly girl groups)

slow? ok im done lol.. their BPM are actually a hell of a lot faster than blackpink or red velvet... newjeans use Clubland genres that have a slow rnb vocal juxtaposed by SUPER FAST beat... being shouty and loud and obnoxious as you can doesnt make a song 'fast' lol.
