idk how to explain this but imo new jeans have these like fresh/nostalgic/modern image to them ? I think that's what makes them standout aside from their catchy song and fun choreo. Plus, because they don't dye their hair and their outfits doesn't look like costumes (if u get what i mean) , they just look like a bunch of teenage girls who enjoy dancing and singing together :)

it’s crazy because no one watching this in the past will truly understand how popular this song was. i mean it was EVERYWHERE in sk and literally EVERY celeb, idol, and actor was doing the choreography. Also the “what song are you listening to?” “new jeans hype boy” trend that followed afterwards was SO popular and carried on for so long. newjeans members are all so talented but got so much backlash (or “concern”) at debut due to their young age, but hype boy is truly a song that is loved enjoyed by everyone and i’m so proud of these girls. i know it’s only been 2 years since their debut, but i’m already reminiscing because they’ve accomplished so much.

i cannot believe it's been over a year since I found them. i love them all so much. Hyein's vocals are out of this world, Dani is so so talented and I love her voice sm, Minji is still the most amazing and pretty girl, I love Hanni she's incredible, I think my bias now is Haerin, she really has something special, and she's my age which is cool, she's so relatable and an introvert too. waiting for nj to make an amazing comeback!!

I think what makes the group refreshing is number 1, the melodies. If you feel nostalgic, it's because of. Their visuals broke the frenzyness too in today's KPop. It brought back that early 00s and late 90s vibe. As well as the theme. The choreo is not what I call robotic, where it is only the hands that is moving so much. You'll really see their bodies moving so much. Plus their vocals are not forced too. Just within their range. They are stable because of it and have an excellent chemistry as a group. One member doesn't outshine the others. This is perfect.

reminds me of the 90's rnb that we all grew up with listening in the states on the radio and when mtv was just boppin music videos. they're definitely a vibe and I'd def go to their concerts if they decide to come to the US.

I think they really capture the "sunshine of youth" vibe. Positive, energetic, full of hope, innocent, etc. So refreshing
