Love their music so far (I'm an adult). Music has no age limit. I like the vibe of their debut album. Their fandom is called BUNNIES. For the members, there is... Minji 2004 Korean, Hanni 2004 Vietnamese-Australian, Danielle 2005 Korean-Austrailian, Haerin 2006 Korean, and Hyein 2008 Korean. Hype Boy is another popular song from their album. There are 4 versions that highlights the members (so some different scenes) but all the same song...So there's four stories going on there. They do have dance practices and performance videos of Hype Boy to pick from. Hurt is also another good song with an mv with just their faces, but there's a Hurt Special Video (yes that's the title) of where they sing live that I personally prefer.

Thanks for giving a hear to New Jean's. This group really took the KPop by storm. No teasers/debut / promo or funfare They just upload their songs and voila, million streams of New Sound. With that, the manager won the breakthrough producer award. I would really like to hear your reaction to Hype Boy written by the girl, Hanni. Meanwhile, Attention was written by Danielle. Yes, the girls can write yah! Cheers!

It is very normal for Kpop groups to debut young, this is mainly because of the "7 year curse". Most Kpop groups disband after their 7 year contract due to people losing interest and being more engaged with newer groups, also for boy groups Korean residents have to enlist by 30 years old, and enlistment usually destroys a boygroup's popularity and causes a very dramatic decline in their relevancy. So it's easier for everyone involved (the artist and the company) to debut the artist in their teens to get the most out of their careers, also just in the case the group tanks or falls apart, it happens when they're young and not middle aged where there's no chance to start over. Also it gives the Idols a chance to pursue long solo careers or transition to other industries such as acting while they are still in their 20s/30s if they want a career change. A great example of this is Wonyoung, she debuted in IZ*ONE at 15, but the group only had a temporary contract, and disbanded after 2 years. Now she is 18 and re-debuted in another girl group, and because of her previous experience and connections, she is in a million commercials, constantly invited to variety shows, is a music show MC, and hosts award shows, despite technically being a rookie artist. Almost every single Kpop group debuts with members ranging from 15-20 years old. It's very normal, and it's not something that will change in the near future.

Yeayy! Finally you meet my girls😍 their song sooo catchy🥰

I took a few days to figure out all the girls, who is who and ages and where they are from, what an amazing group of young talented girls. I can see them going far pretty fast, so far 3 songs out and all are hits and catchy especially HypeBoy. One thing about this 4th generation, they all speak English, the girls come from different backgrounds too and one girl who now is the leader (Minji)was in the BTS MV Permission to Dance. It took me some time to figure out each girl and names and put to face. I love their stylist, but I hope they don't over do it with hair coloring so early on. Ages 14-Hyein(Korean) 16- Haerin(Korean) 17- Danielle(Australian/Korean) 18- Hani(Vietnamese) 18-Minji(Korean)

One of their best girl's groups this year.

When i found out they were like 14-15 i was like wow lmao. But when i hear the song it bring me back to when i was their age. Love it

The newer groups are debuting younger on average but there's been a lot of idols who've waited to debut since they were so young but we can infer to make that situation better that they're just too talented to wait since they are talented but it is what it is.

Newjeans are the only group I ult besides BTS. they're so talented and their music is so different and refreshing from typical kpop (4th gen esp with sudden beat switches and unnecessary raps + pans on pots noise)

Unfortunately, it's very normal for very young singers to debut in kpop. I don't think it's right, but more and more young kids are debuting nowadays. Worst part is, some of the songs are a bit sexual. That really needs to change.

Yeah.... Maybe kids can look at this and like it.. The song sounds good at least. I'd leave this group alone honestly if you're an adult. The video is cute and all but there's a lot of male gaze and sensual shots such as even a starting shot of the girls from a low behind angle so the focus is their backsides.

@@HadassaMoon144 honestly I'm okay with this video. I disagree that this one is shot with a male gaze. Maybe we're from different backgrounds, but it seems very teenager-y to me. Like a celebration of female adolescence if you will. But 'cookie' was just terrible. I can't listen to that song at all because of the lyrics.

This video isn't overt no. That's true. But if you notice certain angles and settings... something isn't quite right. And it makes sense considering the company manager and her noted fetishism of pubescence. It just rubs me the wrong way. I've stanned teen groups before but the girls were never in tube tops or had scenes in a bed, hanging in a dingy bathroom in a club or wearing hot pants with the camera making sure to get that shot of her cheeks as she walks away. Nope nope. And yes, Cookie made it clear about what's being sold with this group. If I were these guys, I would leave this group alone. They don't know the controversy that has surrounded the group or the company manager and I suspect that if they did, they'd make that choice themselves.

@bam's mom Something to think about... I was once a teenaged girl and this video does remind me of things I did with my friends. But that's why this appeals to teens. They can share that experience. However, adults are also watching this. Especially adults who "enjoy" minors. Some of the imagery is very intimate and it becomes uncomfortable when you imagine people outside of teenaged years viewing some of these scenes. Imagine if the girls were your daughters for example.

@@HadassaMoon144 that's why I said it maybe a cultural thing because I know a lot of teenagers who dress like this and I don't think it's vulgar. It's just the reality. Also about the CEO of Ador, i agree that her fetishizing prepubescence is very unsettling. But imo the only thing that she did wrong with this group was give the okay to release the song 'Cookie'. I disagree that this video is provocative or sexual. It looks normal to me and I certainly didn't notice anyone's 'cheeks' lol.
