You played great football that season and really should have won the league. It reminded me of being a nipper in the 70's watching Tommy Doc's team. ( Yes I'm a Red, yes from Manchester) Great entertainment with truly passionate support. One bloke on here said he wouldn't swap the emotional ride and the excitement. Me too when I was going to IT and loving the fact we might win 4-3 or lise4-3, didn't matter, the ride was exciting regardless. God I miss those days. Football is too sanitised now. It's all about TV kick off tines, fuck the fans who go to games. Half n half scarves, someone needs a good kicking for wearing them, Dicks To all you Geordie boys, good to have you back, bring it on.

Good team, best Newcastle team I've seen, but let's be realistic they were second best behind Man U, their weakness was defence.

I was born in 94, obviously can’t remember anything that happen but we were so close winning the league. The stories I’ve heard about this season from family members, it sound like one of the best seasons they ever experience as a Newcastle supporters.

I was 15, Best times of my life despite the heartache....You forget just what an absolute beast Ferdinand was.

Never forget that Cantona goal at the Cathederal, the night we lost that title

If I could travel back in time I would prevent cantona scoring that goal..

I still don't know how they didn't win the title. I'm an Arsenal fan and that is embarrassing. Man United deserve them titles in 1995/96 and 1996/97.

I remember watching the Newcastle v Liverpool game (Coca Cola Cup back then wasn't it?), Steve Watson all on his own decides to take on the entire back four and score with his left foot. One of those late night games which I'll always remember

No one talks about the team goal at 4:00 but it’s unbelievable

Less boring for sure . No other english team has a team with supporters like Newcastle united .The goordies are among Barcelona Boca Juniors are the only teams with supporters that passionate ,and real .

What a team we didn’t win in the end but he had a right good go at it...that’s what it’s all about man

best team never to win premier league , were lacking a bit of experience maybe up front , Beardsley was great player , underrated really , one of the best of all time

I had a season ticket in the (then new Sir John Hall Stand) behind the goal. I hate to say it but I feel that Keegan’s rant probably cost us the title, putting unnecessary pressure on the players.
