Not a fan of either sides but seeing Trippier in the midst of the disappointment of being handed the red card walking to De Bruyne (before going off the field) to apologize just took to a new level of respect for him. For me, this will be what I'll celebrate most about this match.

imagine what Everton would give for an Eddie Howe of their own. He has performed miracles with that squad and been able to demonstrate just how bad his predecessors have been. Great job Eddie. Newcastle deserve it after the way they've been handled since Keegan left.

Absolutely plus you can see the passion from the new players for the club... Trippier almost crying when he got red... Botman and Pope celebrating when Pope made saves against Haaland... It just feels so good to see that the players love the club that they play for

All those goals are Maxis work. One great player.

Who are the underdogs now?

I’m loving the fact that we did it with players who really want to be at the club. We’re not splashing the cash for top stars, we are carefully building a decent squad. To think that I’m disappointed because “only” drew with the champions is a good way to be. Howay the lads!

Tough times to be a man utd fan

Maxi has come a long way under Howe, and with good players around him like Trippier. He's always been a magician on the ball but never used to see the pass. He's seeing everything now. If he could just strike the ball better to grab himself some goals, he'd be a world elite player. He's not far off it on today's performance regardless. Hope he keeps it up.

Im a neutral so ive not watched ASM alot but from what i saw yesterday he was superb.

Best game have watched in the premier league so far Pope was phenomenal ,and Maximin was electric i hope he does that in every game

Living in France I don’t get to see much of Newcastle but having watched the highlights, I would not like to defend against Master Maxi. Man was he motoring.

Great to see this wonderful club beginning to be reborn. Most sides would have crumbled after City’s first goal. Eddie Howe seems like a top manager and the club appears to have a management team that is committed to rebuilding. I’m not a Newcastle fan but look on with interest and respect. Good luck to all Geordies. I have followed the Staveley family for many years as I used to work for Amanda’s dad at the Lightwater Valley theme park. Happy days. There was a pub outside the park called the Staveley Arms. We got our pay packets on a Friday and promptly returned Staveley’s cash to him via his pub🤦🏻‍♂️

Even though Newcastle have the richest owners they haven't gone on and signed players for ridiculous price or anything like that... They have signed players for the amount they think is right and I feel they've come a long way from where they were last year... Credit must be given to the manager, his coaching staff, and the players...

My goodness, the roller coaster this match had been. Got my heart sink for the red card there for a moment. Phew. bit dissapointed for the draw. But yet we're dealing with champions here. A point is a point. Great performance. 👍

Loved this match as a spectator! Yet I dont know how to feel about it as a nufc fan. Before the game I wouldve taken 3-3 all day. But just like the players theres a bit of disappointment losing a 2 goal lead. Either way this surely has sent shocks into the other teams by showing just how capable we are. TOON TOON ❤️⚫️⚪️

This game was epic!!!!! And no one got a red card at the end. Sportsmanship was at another level. This is why I love watching good football.

The next mega powers in the premier league, I love the way Newcastle team playing, they are already in great movement to compute in the league. maxima is wonderful dribbler.

Saint Maximin palyed a great game delivering 3 big scoring chances , 2 of which have been scored; and he created the foul from which Trippier scored the 3rd.
