The Truth is Newcastle at the beginning of the season weren't losing games per se, they were drawing a lot of games usually after scoring first ... Seems like Howe has straightened them out! The fitness levels were poor at the beginning of the season. Often started games brightly, took the lead, but players were blowing out their arses by 60 mins plus. The most impressive improvement under Eddie has, for me, been the players’ work rate and relentless closing down from the first minute to the last. No player encapsulates this change more than Joelinton - doesn’t stop running, physically strong and is just so fiercely competitive. He must be an absolute nightmare to play against.

What Howe has done for us is nothing short of a miracle tbh I know we were Linked to bigger names when Bruce was sacked but I honestly don't think any of them would have had the impact Howe has had.

Our counter attack is deadly as what the commentator puts it- the classic nufc counter-attack. If only our possession can be more consistent, we would have put more goal difference in. Overall, precious 3 points to the toon army. HWTL!

That last highlight is frustrating me, ASM needs to square that to Wood imo, far more likely to get a better shot off, but Maxi trying to go solo. He needs to be less selfish, something I’ve noticed growing into his performances last few games

I think ASM acts selfish sometimes or goes for glory himself. The team needs everyone to play as a unit. Wood hasn’t score but his contribution is MASSIVE. That’s team work. Bruno is a great lad and I think playing him alongside Shelvey will be a bad idea.

It’s because people unreasonably expect instantaneous results. Because of the state of our club after Mike Brucley, time and patience was always going to be vital when having to unweave the poor standards and attitude set by previous regime. I’d argue, where the club is atm, Eddie has seriously exceeded what should of been expected from day one of the takeover to up until this point.

I thought he was rusty but that could be due to just coming back from injury and barely training. I think some fans are too harsh on ASM. This season he’s been responsible for almost singlehandedly picking us up points and will no doubt pick up more before the end of the season.

Murphy should be deserve to get starting XI despite ASM is back to contention. Because ASM does not intend to passing the ball to other player. He will never be stop changing his style of running play without providing the ball for team mate. And an opponents are able to competing to his speed. Most cases, ASM dribble is ending up with a fail. Let's sold him out in the upcoming summer. No need a selfish player for Newcastle.
