Brings this 62 yr old Oma of 2 and mom of 3 adult sons back to their 5, 3 and 2 week early newborn stages! They were small like your sweet little daughter. I actually enjoyed them being small longer. My grandson was over 9# and weighed almost twice what his daddy weighed and was into 3 mo clothes from the start! Enjoy those snuggles and freshly bathed baby scents! 🤗🎀💗

My baby is currently 2 weeks old and you make it look so easy I'm so chaotic 😭 sometimes I cry out of nowhere I just feel so overwhelmed and start crying. I miss going to the gym to deal with stress 😩 😪 😫.. my apartment is a disaster and I hate not cleaning I barely have time to eat I'm so skinny now...

Trust me it’s not easy!! I made sure to show Navy crying in these clips because that’s real life. The first 2 weeks of her life I had really bad baby blues and I cried every day for no reason! Thankfully the baby blues are gone, but they were really bad this time around. I get overwhelmed too but I just try to take a deep breath and stay calm! My house would be a disaster if my husband didn’t help me clean it. You’re not alone! 🤍

What an organized and loving mother you are.

Even though it was 27 years ago, this was my routine with my son, almost to a t. There weren’t any super fancy pumps back then, and what was available cost a fortune and weighed a ton. I kept my son in a bassinet right next to my bed too, and I would also sleep on my stomach so I could keep one hand on his back because, like probably all mom’s, I had a fear that he would stop breathing. Yours is such a beautiful baby!

Awww..so precious. My son was 6lbs and he is now very solid and the same weight as his sister who’s 11 months older. My youngest(6weeks) was expected to be only 3/4 lbs, but ended being my biggest baby at a little over 7lbs!

I always kept a mesh bag with multiple pockets on it filled with diapers and diaper creams and the essentials next to my bed too

This makes me want another baby! My daughter just turned 3. Except I did it all alone with her, so I want to know what it is like to raise a baby with a supportive partner. I hope to experience it some day.

Hi Abby, WOW! My first time ever watching .Didn't even know you had two older children !!! I didn't doubt the water wasn't warm just that your baby wasn't "IN " it per se' the Thirty years ago when my son was an infant we didn't have the apparatus you moms today use to bathe babies. I had a plastic tub that I still put in sink but I filled it up so my son was practically covered in warm water. He never so much as whimpered .I think he loved his baths even as a newborn. Hope it does help. I'll watch more videos now. Hope it helps. Loved hearing you reply. Again,your daughter is exquisite xo

Our NICU nurse gave us some wonderful advice for newborn bath time. Swaddle them with a cotton swaddle and then lay them in their tub and pour the water over them. You can then take out one limb at a time to soap, rinse it and swaddle it back up before moving on to the other limb. Then you unswaddle and can bathe their privates. By unswaddling at the very end the cry time drastically decreases because you don't have much left to wash!

All the little tips here and there throughout the video was extremely helpful and this just warms my heart. Hopefully my body will also be able to produce enough milk so I can exclusively breastfeed too

Oh I'm so jealous you can sleep side on with an oversupply you lucky Mama! Haha I have oversupply too and find I can only sleep on my back otherwise so wake with plugged ducts hehe thank you for sharing your newborn night routine ❤️✨ we seem to have a lot in common from co sleeping to oversupply even the times our Bubba's wake to nurse! I am curious about how most moms get their babies to sleep in a bassinet or crib instead of in their arms. When you laid your baby down in the "snuggle me" and left to pump milk, did she just fall asleep on her own? After each nursing session throughout the night, did she just stay asleep when you laid her down in the bassinet, or did she fuss a little and then fall back asleep?

Do you only feed her from one side? I saw some people do breaks and switch sides. Do you change her diapers before every feeding?

P.S. I thought I should add that I had the sound muted so I wouldn't disturb my husband ) I was watching in bed and couldn't find the ear buds : ) So, Navy may NOT have even been crying much less screaming !!! my one year old is only just now getting to be alright with baths, but still hates getting cleaned and being wet 🤣 no issue for us though, luckily i'm all too familiar with towel baths so she'd get wiped down daily and spot cleaned as needed lmao

Aw congratulations! There are no dumb questions! 💛 I used it all up when I went back to work with both of my boys, but now I stay at home so I’ll probably end up donating most of it! If you’ll be doing back to work, I’d highly highly suggest getting a freezer stash started! You can pump as often or as little as you would like! With my boys I pumped after every feed because I wanted a big freezer stash, but with Navy I pump after she’s done eating in the morning and before we go to bed. 😊

You make this look so easy! Did she ever fuss or not go back to sleep? Sometimes we have a hard time getting my 11 day old back to sleep at night after feeding.
