That "President's residence" was neat.

One thing I liked about JL WAR was showing Darkseid as a giant physically. Wonder Woman even calls him "giant". This is in line with old classic DC from when I was young. When Zeus was said to be about 12' to 15' tall...and other powerful gods were similarly big , ( like Herakles....or Darkseid ). But then, they got normal sized as heroes and or supervillains etc. Just saying...

I have an early issue of the Forever People. Got it from a spinner rack. Kirby had a different idea for Darkseid as later writers would produce. He was powerful, but subtle. He had no interest in conquering Earth; he only wanted a component of the anti-life equation, which could only be found on Earth. Quite different from what we ended up with.

@@ShardcivesThere were comic book heroes before batman. It's been said Batman is nothing more than a ripoff of The Shadow which was a famous comic in 1931 whereas Bats was created in 1939. Superman came along in 1938. Superman predates Batman.
