I echo the comment below. Really appreciate you sharing this and especially the manner of the sharing. We are all learning with you. On this video, this is my kind of stream. I really like small narrow waters and this was a real beauty - as you said like a fantasy land. As Alex Waller says NZ is like Disneyland for anglers. Super nice stuff - lovely fish, I also enjoyed being shown where the fish went to hide after the release.

Thanks for your lovely comment - this last 18 months has been a education for me - and a lot of my knowledge uplift has been aided by the guides that I have crossed paths with - starting with Scotty X on the Goulburn, then Todd, Gavin and Allan in New Zealand - but also Nathan Walker at Boss Outdoors in Canberra - fishing is a great sport as there is always something to learn and somebody to learn from - Michael and I both agreed that this day was the highlight for us as the whole adventure of that day was so unexpected…

I fished for trout in New Zealand in the 90s..i hiked around fjordland but didn't fish much there because every time i stopped walking and wasn't safely zipped in the tent..the bloody sandflies were eating me alive.. I caught some nice fish around wanaka and near queenstown..but mostly using spinners and small lures..beautiful place..reminds me of Scotland but the mountains are bigger and the vegetation more exotic..the kea parrots are an amusing nuisance..and will wreck your gear while their mates distract you with their antics.. Anyway nice video and seeing the clean rivers with no trash..and all those ferns growing in the forest brings back happy memories..
